Caller said we had a rather large charge to a credit card in my name. Caller gave us the credit card number, but we could not verify it was ours at all (and we keep very good track of any cards issued to us). They had my last four SSNs, our home phone (cell), my name. They did not have my home address, gave the card address as a NY address. They wanted me to call the police and report the theft, but we complained that how do we file a report with no real info on my part. The caller said she could connect me to the police to file the report. At this point we hung up. No one offers to do that except a scammer!!
