Got a voice mail from a ? Jordan who said there are 3 allegations a***nst my social security number. He had a very thick accent and I could barely understand what he was saying. I returned the call and got the same voice who said he was John, and he was from ACS - Avidavid Collections Service. His accent was very thick and there several loud voices in the background that sounded like other people with thick accents making the same type of phone call. He said there was an allegation a***nst my SS# and he verified that and my address, phone no. and bank. I was very leary that he had all that information so I kept listening. He said I had made a $300 loan and never paid it back from a - missed it - type of payday loan service. I told him I could not hear him because of the background noice that sounded like other people making similar calls, that I could not understand his thick accent, that I had no loans that I had not paid, and was he in fact a scam group. He said, rather angrily, that he was sorry he could not help me, good by! I then came to the computer to find out who the number was and found this. I really am leary of people getting all that private information! How can we stop that, and this type of call? I did use this info for a possible loan using the computer, but I didn't understand it could be accessed by other people!
