it was an automated voice. had the wrong first name asking me to call them back about a recent transaction on my debt card. I had recently made a purchase but that particular bank has a certain number they call from for fraud ID
Also got a letter in the mail. Amount owed was more than what was calculated. Would not explain. Then got a second letter noting penalties. Contact # same as 800 number. Letter looked authentic from Charleston WV. Wonder if inside job?
She stated she is a Verification Officer from Citibank, told me her name is Tabatha Borton. Advised me that someone is attempting to open a credit card account in my name. Totally fraudulent, scam.

I received a letter supposedly from the CA DMV with this number at the bottom, I am going to go into the DMV myself to see if this supposed collection is true.

BK of America made inquiry into my credit report for an auto loan. THere were 6 other simliar requests. All with fake names and fake numbers. this is one of them.
Scam… caller seeking bank account information / password… i discover later that my bank had received two bogus attempts to log into my account just prior to my receiving this call
received a letter “from US Bank” via USPS “verifying” application for a checking and savings account. stated i should call this number if I had NOT made the application.
PG&E acknowledges on its website that this number has been s****ed but in my case it was a legitimate recorded call that did not ask for payment.
