888 Area Code

Asked me to press 1 to verify my name, which was correct. Then it told me to verify my DOB. Obviously I didn't and asked to speak to a representative. The robot insisted and actually got indignant, telling me I had to do that if I wanted to hear the message it had for me. I asked for a representative again. It told me in a snarky tone that I would have to call my provider if I wanted the info. At this point, I knew they didn't have info for me. I hate these spammers think we're stupid. By Anonymous

From reading these messages, I would bet on a Best Buy fake. They were suppose to call me this morning (different number) to see if I wanted to continue with Sony TV service Tech in home and never called. I felt the Sony guy seemed fake and had a different (wrong) factory reset which destroyed my TV ($2400 down the drain). All of them have only one trouble shooting gimmick. So sad to see what monsters technology created. By Anonymous

Got a yellow postcard with some BS about my car warranty. Researched phone here and verified it is a scam. Thank you BeenVerified. Receive these monthly on a car that I no longer own so I know it is a scam. They have stopped calling because I don't answer the phone if I don't know who is calling and they never leave a msg. this number appeared as the dispute number in a suspicious Chase withdrawal. it was never clear who was behind it, woman would not shut up, I hung up. probably just wanted my phone number to try to get all my money. now they have it.

I agree with all others that have received this ridiculous letter, its a scam! I do not have a home warranty, as others have said, so don't fall for it !!! They should be found and prosecuted for scamming ! By Anonymous

Apparently this is a legitimate Chase Customer Service number, but ‘net search shows its been used by Scammers spoofing Caller ID. cant trust anything any more
