BofA asking me if I had made some recent charges on a foreign website, which I had, so it's all good.
(302) 731-1166
Just called BofA and they said it IS NOT THEIR NUMBER! Do not give them any information. Call the number on your card and ask about the phone number!
(302) 731-1166
This is a legitimate call from the BOA Fraud Center...answer it.

This Bank of America Fraud Dept! I did not answer because I did not recognize number. After checking with Number Guru I called the official 1800 number for Bank of America Fraud. 1 (800) 472-7970! They confirmed this 302 number was theirs. They had put my card on hold due to multiple charges su****ious that I did not make. Thank goodness. Legit number.
(302) 731-1166
Annoying. Called right at 8am. Didn't recognize the number, so I didn't answer. They didn't leave a message. If it is BoA, I don't know why they'd be calling me, since I'm not a BoA customer. Never have been.
(302) 731-1166
After receiving an email alert from B of A I called the number on the back of my credit card and indeed a hold had been placed on my account for su****ious activity. It is very likely that this number was part of their fraud alert system (hard for them to verify since their company is so big and it could be one of 1000's of 'outgoing' numbers used). Like Android User said: Answer it!! Please disregard my comment from 12.13PM.
(302) 731-1166
I just got a call from this number. Based on web comments I called BofA (the number on the back of my card) and was told that this number is not****ociated with their bank. The nice woman took the time to run through recent charges on my accounts and found that all was in good order. Had there been a problem she said they would have left a message. When in doubt - call your bank!
(302) 731-1166
this is BOFA fraud dept...answer it
(302) 731-1166
So, like everyone else, I got a call from this number (while I was driving, I just saw the missed call). When I called back there was no indication of the business, just that I was in a 6-minute hold rotation. When I called BofA 90 minutes after they had called me, BofA said there was no fraud on my account. Don't ever give any personal information to anyone who ever calls you directly. Thank them, **** up, and call whomever supposedly was calling you.
(302) 731-1166
I received a call from this number about a possible fraud charge to my card. I called my card number insread. My card services told me that, It's a company, bank credit cards go through to alert customers about fraud charges to their cards. If you do not feel safe answering their questions, they understand and will ask you to call the number on back of your card.

Unknown number to me so I did not answer. Has called twice today at 8:45AM and 11:45AM ****s up after 3 rings
(302) 731-1166
This is NOT a fraud; it is a legitimate call from Bank of America Card Services Fraud alert service. I was very skeptical when a recorded female talked about possible fraud on my BofA card, so I didn't key anything in on my phone, I just talked back to the "robot". After not recognizing the info, I was told I would be connected to a live rep. which took a couple of minutes of listening to music. A gentleman came on the line and we each very cautiously questioned each other so I could make sure he was with BofA and he could make sure I was the card holder. He also told me that if I was still unsure that he worked for BofA, that I could **** up and call the Customer Service number on the back of the credit card. He fully described the 2 charges that were placed on my card about 10 minutes apart about 3 hours earlier. Both charges were for less than $5.00 to companies that market using the internet which is a frequent ****od used to "check out" a credit card before placing larger fraudulent charges. I confirmed that the charges were in fact legitimate and made by me, and he allowed them to go through. I then called the number on the back of the credit card and confirmed "Credit Services 302-731-1166" works for BofA that the 2 small charges were allowed to go through. SUMMARY: If this number calls you and caller ID shows "CREDIT SERVICES F" and you don't want to play 20 Questions, call the Customer Service number on the back of your credit card and find out why there is a possible fraud alert. BTW- this number is no longer used by Zeccola Builders.

Calls ervery couple of days, shows up as Newark, DE and the above phone number. never leaves a message.
(302) 731-1166
Received this call twice today but did not answer since I did not know the number or area code. They didn't leave a message either time but I was curious after the second phone call so I looked it up and found the same info as everyone else, that it's a Verizon landline in Delaware. Some people say it's legit and it's fraud services notifying you of fraudulent activity on your card so I checked my bank accounts and credit cards and have no unauthorized activity. I decided to call the number back and a man answered and immediately asked for my credit card number, I said "stop calling me" and ***g up. I believe this is a scam NEVER give out personal information over the phone! I hope there somewhere I can report this to it's scary!
(302) 731-1166
I agree. It is an automated computer system from B of A and it wanted to verify a charge on my CC which I had in fact made the day before. The charge was legitimate, so I pressed "1" as directed, and that was the end of it. But it is irritating that the first time they called (and I did not answer) they did not leave a message.
(302) 731-1166
STOP CALLING ME. I dont know who you are
(302) 731-1166
Keeps calling. I don't know anyone in Delaware. They need to stop calling me.
(302) 731-1166
Got a call this morning from "BOA" fraud protection, giving an 866 #, stating there were three questionable charges made on our card. Took the # they gave, then looked up this site, and the number that shows on our call log is the same as listed here. Not calling the 866#! Thanks for the info, all.

(302) 731-1166
This person s****ed calling me every exact 3 hours. They s****ed calling at 5:17 pm. then the next call was at 8:17 pm. My cell phone checked the area code, and it says this number is from Delaware. I dont know anyone from Delaware, and I dont post my number on the internet for the world to see. So im not sure about this..
(302) 731-1166
This IS actually Bank of America, I asked the woman and she said it was them and it is an automatic system that calls you when the computer has been alerted there may be fraudulent activity. Just call them back on a different number to clear it up, if you ignore it the number will automatically keep calling you.
(302) 731-1166
The call came in as Card Services and said about BofA CC account fradulent activity. Asked me to enter ZIP and SSN. I did not. Called BofA 800 number. They said the account was flagged for fradulent activity. I gave them feedback about the automated call must not ask for SSN, rather ask the customer call back the 800 numnber on the card. Their answer was "Sorry if you feel like that'.
(302) 731-1166
called twice over 2 days. Asked to enter last four #'s of SS number and last 4 #'s of bank account. I entered nothing.
(302) 731-1166
Was actually BoA for me - they called to confirm a Google Checkout I did today.
(302) 731-1166
After reading the above comments, I decided to log into my BofA account online and see what was happening. I was prevented from logging in and the account had been placed on hold. I DID have a few tense moments with the operator since I did not want to give her ANY info when she asked for my account number and email account - but then, they DID have my home phone number.....Turns out the tooth-whitening sample I ordered online yes****ay is famous for charging customers $90 14 days after the charge is processed. Many BofA customers have fallen for this trap, as I did. BofA was doing me a great service by warning me of the conequences of this psudo-deal. I appreciate their warning and they even gave me the phone numbers to cancel the unwanted subscription and advised me to be sure and get a "cancel confirmation" number."Card Services" was legit.

(302) 731-1166
I received 3 calls in the past 24 hours from this number on my cell & was curious because there was no voicemail. I am also on the do not call list and have been for 5+ years. Thank you everyone for giving me a heads up that this is a fraudulant caller!
(302) 731-1166
Received three phones calls one day from this number - didn't answer. Second day received two calls and a prerecorded message was left on voice mail. It stated that possible fraud was occuring on a charge card. Didn't call them back as we don't have a charge card with Bank of America and for that matter, we don't even have an account of any kind with this bank! Does that answer any questions? Do the math... Would they close our account? Don't think so as we have no account to close!
(302) 731-1166
this number shows up in my caller id this am and this pm i get notified of fraud activity on my credit account with bofa dont know if connected or not but have people reverse sear****g my account and will find the sob!!~!~
(302) 731-1166
I am unsure if this was a scam or actually someone calling from BofA Fraud like others have noted. I did make an online purchase to a place in India and there was a fraud message on my BofA online banking. Unlike the other postings here they did not leave a message so I cannot say for sure who was on the other end of the line.
(302) 731-1166
Called early on sat morning, never left a msg.
(302) 731-1166
Good god, just got another call from this no. a***n!!! I've already placed my no. on the National Do Not Call list yes****ay, wonder how long will it takes to go into affect...

(302) 731-1166
Called twice today (6/4/09)s****ing at 8:30 am. I did not answer and they left no message.
(302) 731-1166
called me several times regarding fraud on someone's bank of america account but not my name. does it actually say your name?
(302) 731-1166
This turned out to really be B of A in my case. The robot advised me to press 2 if I hadn't purchased anything from "Avenues India" and I was routed to a live person who did have the last 4 digits of my card before I gave it to him, he saw that I had a NetFlix charge coming up tomorrow (so****ing no one would have known unless they were looking at my charge history.Turned out that indeed, B of A fraud had correctly tagged this $134.14 charge in India (!) as being a fraud and they cancelled my card on the spo**** could be that someone is s****ing the B of A REAL number to "cash in" on this number, but in today's instance it was real and a good thing.
(302) 731-1166
if you call the Fcc or got to the website, add 302-731-1166 to the list 'cause if you don't they will s**** using this number as well, you can also call your phone provider and ask to have it blocked, of course, they want extra money for it! I even called my Bank of America credit card co., and they said they have been hearing about this but the hackers are staying ahead of them. If someone is that smart get a REAL job!
(302) 731-1166
I received a phone call from this number at 5:40 AM !I didn't answer.1) BOA haven't got my cellular phone number.2) They never phone up 5:40 AM, as far as I know.
(302) 731-1166
Called us today, ID as "card services". Auto message "fraud protection services of Bank Of America in acct ending in ..... Possible fraudulant purchases may have been made on you card. Three purchases one made on jan 31 for 5.02. If you did not make this purchase please stay on the line to talk to an agent. I disconnected and called Bank of America Fraud protection and they said this is a scam to get my card info
(302) 731-1166
Received a call this morning as I have been for the past few days. They never leave a message. The number just claims it is from Card Services. So today, I decide to do research on the number. That is how I found many sites claiming it is a fraudulent number trying to scam Bank of America's customers and then there are many sites claiming it is indeed Bank of America's Fraud department. I called the number that was on my caller ID and it kept coming up busy. I then contacted the number on the back of my BofA card asking for the fraud department. They said there was no problem with my card that they could see. She also stated that this number was from Delaware and that they weren't sure if it was from one of their banking centers or not. (REALLY?!) So she then tells me the number keeps coming up as a Verizon Wireless number. She tried to call it and it was busy as well. She said if I keep getting calls to go into my bank and see if they can write the number up. Whatever that means...I then get annoyed because ***ody knows anything and call the number a***n. This time it rings and sounds professional enough and puts me on hold. I hear soothing sounds of the MUZAK station. It takes approximately 5 minutes before somebody picked up. I get some whiny voiced operator asking me not for my name or state I'm calling from but directly for my card number. :O I could hear a plethora of people in the background. She was very ***ue and almost down right rude. Here is my converstation...OP: May I have your card number, please?Me: I don't feel comfortable with giving out that information over the phone. I'm just calling to find out who you are?OP: Ma'am, I cannot help you unless I am given your card number. Me: I would like to know who you are with? What company?OP: I am with Card Services Fraud Department. Me: But with what company?OP: (slow and sarcastically speaking) C A R D S E R V I C E SMe: Yeah, I got that. I would like to know what company is the card through?OP: Ma'am, I have no idea who you opened up a credit card with. Me: I have a card through my bank and they never ask me for the credit card number. I called them and there is no problem. OP: Well, ma'am, maybe they called the wrong number. I ***g up at this point as she was rather annoying to say the least. So here's what I think...I think it's a sham. ***ody in their right mind will ask you directly for your card number right off the bat. It's not right. Like I said, my own bank only asks for the last four digits of my card number. I think w***ver these people were, they try to get somebody's credit card number and from there, can do whatever they want. It's not safe. I saw that these people have been allowed to do this for the past two years and it's not fair. Somebody needs to put a stop to it once and for all. Don't give them any information. They are NOT Bank of America. I called my bank...It's NOT THEM...
(302) 731-1166
Taped message giving me the last four digets of my BofA credit card...then asked for me to type in my Social Security number......No go with me......never give your personal iformation over the phone. This is a scam!
(302) 731-1166
Two calls from them, yes****ay evening, then this morning. Didn't answer either, no voicemail message. Googled the number and saw many people saying it was BofA, so I logged into my BofA credit card account. BofA's site said my account was frozen due to fraud, and had a link to a verification process. There was fraudulent activity on my account from yes****ay, so I went through the online process to refuse the charge and close the card. It was a very efficient process.Because CallerID info can be faked, people should NEVER answer an incoming call and then give out their personal information, credit card info, etc. Ask what the call is about. If they say it is BofA, tell them you will **** up and call the number on the back of the card, or log into your account online.

(302) 731-1166
I received the call telling me a fraudulent charge had been placed on my credit card and if I was the primary card holder to press one. Not recognizing the number or knowing anybody in Delaware I promptly ***g up. I called the number on my credit card and they confirmed the call made to me. They transferred me to the fraud division who told me of the charges they were su****ious of and told me they would freeze the account until I could verify the charges. Thank you Bank of America for wat****g over me.

This number keeps calling my Cell Phone at all times of the day!! I haven't picked up yet for I didn't know who it was. I don't use any credit card(s) whatsoever so I dont know why Bank of America would be calling me.
(302) 731-1166
I received two calls this afternoon. No one left a message and when I called back I was put on hold. I recently paid for so****ing via PayPal which I have not done in over 2 years, so maybe that is what they wanted to discuss. It's weird, though, because I only use this one credit card and check my statements every month. If there was a problem, I would have called them. Maybe it's about another credit card I keep just for emergencies???
(302) 731-1166
I just called BOA and they confirmed me the number.A piece of advice to everyone. Never provide credit card and SSN information to an unknown caller. **** up and call the bank at the official phone number (posted on the back of the card) and ask for the fraud department.Good luck!
(302) 731-1166
Newark, Deleware area. Unpublished number. Caller ID said "Card Services."They called twice one day, a few hours between calls. They haven't called back since. I wasn't home to receive the calls but caller ID tagged it.If called and speaking to them, I wouldn't give them any personal information either unless I called them back at an 800 number on my card and then was transferred to the fraud dept. Remember it's possible to forge caller ID and therefore it's not to be trusted as totally reliable. If you get one of these calls, at the least check your credit card statements for signs of fraud.

Zeccola Builders 1082 Old Churchmen Rd Newark, DE 19713 302-731-1166 show on ID caller as "Card Services F...." We have not done any business with them and we are concerned about Fraud Re: ID showing. Pls investigate
(302) 731-1166
I just received two phone calls from this number and they told me that they were from FIA. A credict card provider for the bank ins***ucions and the person that i spoke with said that perhaps the calls that i recieved were regarding fraud and to call my bank immediatelly.
(302) 731-1166
I received 3 calls. First time, I didn't pick up, because I didn't know who it was. Second time, I picked up and got a recording to ask if my name is *** and mentioned so****ing about BofA credit card fraud. I ***g up because I thought it was some kind of fraud. Third time, I picked up but didn't say anything. The recorder didn't come on, and there was no one on the line, so I ***g up. Then I looked up BofA and called them to check. I had a BofA credit card several years ago, and when it expired, I never activated the new card. Apparently, my account is still open but the card is not activated. Someone tried to charge $1800 in a department store. How they got the credit card number, I have no idea. It is very bothersome.

It was Bank of Amercica. I had a credit card that wasn't used in over a year. Someone got a hold of it and tried to use it. The transaction was denied. They didn't ask me for any personal info, only my phone #, then verified my info from there. Very helpful, thank you Bank of America.

This number called me twice over the past two days. 8:***m and 8:19am. Each time I answered and the other line quickly ***g up. I called back and was put on hold. I did not speak with any individual at this number. From my sear****g this call means someone has obtained your Bank of America Credit Card Info and has attempted to commit fraud with your account. DO NOT GIVE ANY ONE AT THIS NUMBER INFORMATION!!! I called Bank of America's Card Service number on the back of the card and they****isted me and told me to disregard this number as it is probably another attempt of fraud.

I verified this number with BofA's fraud department -- after some people at BoA told me it might be a scam. After getting the call from the 302 number, I called 800-432-1000, which I got from https://www.bankofamerica.com/privacy/Control ... horised_acc_use. Two representatives told me they didn't think it was a legit number, but couldn't be certain. I was finally transferred over to the fraud dept. and someone said that it indeed was them, and we went over the su****ious charges (which was me, but just out of the ordinary purchases).I'm actually pretty happy with BoA about this. If only they could have their departments communicate with each other better. We basically thought it was a fraudulent call right up until the last guy we talked to.

Rec'd call almost INSTANTLY after making a payment via PayPal. It is Bank of America. They called to verify the transaction. I had also just used the card a few minutes earlier to pay my Tmobile bill on their website.

I got the call a few times from that number today but I missed all of them. When I called back, I was told to provide my credit card number (without telling me which credit card), and I was also told that my Bank of Amerian credit card got so****ing alert sounded like a big fause trasanction (they didn't explain why). They asked me a***n for my card number and I didn't feel alright, so I ***g up the phone.

I had the same experience that Ryan had. I called Bank of America immediately when the clerk told me the account was blocked. The Bank of America rep told me that they were taking precautions because of all the new purchases that I had on my card today. They wanted to make sure that no one had stolen my card and gone on a shopping spree. Several phone calls were made to my home from the number in question. They asked for my social security number, but I would not give it to them since it was an unsolicited call. Because of the conversation I had with the rep earlier in the day, I believe that it is actually Bank of America calling, but I still wouldn't give out sensitive information over the phone unless I made the call to Bank of America myself.

I think I can confirm what Nik said in his previous comment. I was Christmas shopping today and made several purchases at the mall w/ my Bank of America card. At two different stores, the clerk had to call in to allow for the purchase to go through. Twice tonight, I received a call from that phone number (although I didn't answer it) and****umed it may have so****ing to do w/ fraud protection. Reading the comments above it makes sense that it actually is Bank of America (or whatever vendor they may use for fraud protection if outsourced).

I was just trying to purchase so****ing online in England and I am in the USA. I first put my month wrong on he expiration and then typed a security code wrong. The site then would not take my card number. At this same time my phone rang and it was this 302-731-1166 number. I missed the call and called right back. I was told they were Bank of America by the person once I asked. It was a little weird for this to not be clear to me upon calling. They said that they monitor account activity 24/7 and I asked them how long do they respond to threats. They answered that is it almost instantly. I did not give my credit card number to them when they asked as I was taken back by the unfamiliar way they handled it. Due to the timing and what I was doing and it was a Bank of America card I think they may be legit but not enough for me to give them my trust.
