This is a third party vendor for Macy's and Bloomingdales department store. They are contracted to attempt to collect outstanding debts owed to the company by store-issued charge accounts. This company must use an automated outbound dialer which will cycle your number back into the system if you do not answer the phone, so they will simply keep calling. Hours that collection agencies may call you vary by country, state, or territory, but generally in the US they may not call before 8am or after 9pm. If you do not owe this company money, you can file a complaint with the FCC at their website www.fcc.gov.

They were calling me about three times a day but did not stay on long enough for my voicemail to pick up. Finally after about three days of these non-stop phone calls, I called Macy's Credit/Billing Inquiries Department at (800)743-6229. I did not owe Macy's any money. However, it somehow had my home phone number belonging to a person who did owe Macy's money. Boy, did I ever give that Macy's customer service rep an earful.

Asked about another person and said the details wer of a confidential matter. I called and found out it was about Macy's not balance issues or accounts issues were noted by the person I contaced and I asked to quit calls to my elderly mother, who is getting very upset. I have been getting calls from this number at least once a day (sometimes up to 6 times a day) from November of last year up until today, July 15, 2008. I have reported the number to the National Do Not Call Registry and the Federal Trade Commission. My number has been on the Do Not Call Registry for 3 years and I STILL receive these calls. The first 3 times I picked up and the person on the other end ***g up. The ***dreds of times after that the phone would ring about 3 rings and **** up on its own w/o ever leaving a voicemail. By sear****g on this site it looks like it's from either a Macy's, Bloomingdale's or some kind of collection company of which I shop at neither, nor have I ever had a credit card from. I have called Macy's and Bloomingdale's directly and they confirmed I do not or have ever had an account w/them or have any delinquent payments. I checked my credit report recently and it is in excellent condition w/no delinquencies. It is frustrating and annoying to be called so many times and not have a block caller option on my phone. There should be a class action lawsuit a***nst w***ver is behind this number.

Relentless! they'll call several times in a row (with no satisfaction). I refuse to answer my phone for these people. Once you answer the phone (even if you give them no information) they now know what time of day to call and harrass you! Because of this I have turned off my answering ma****e. My next step is to get one of those "an****elemarketing" ma****es you hook-up to your phone so their service thinks it's a disconected phone number. It plays the doo-doo-doo tone that disconected numbers have. Works like a charm. Of course you'll have to let your friends and family in on it so they won't **** up thinking you've left town.

When i asked her why,she told me it was "personal business". I told her that I was their daughter and that it wouldn't be that I'd be happy to know what the "personal business" concerned and she told me she couldn't tell me, so I told her my parents won't be calling her. Every time the phone rings they say I should hold for a rep, because they are busy & I am important to them! They don't leave a message either. Finally, when I was home to get the call, the rep stated (in Indian-English he is calling from Macy's, but I know Macy's is in Mason, OH. When I asked him which (Macy's) account he was referring to, he didn't even know. I don't give information to people I can't verify! When I looked at my Macy's account on-line, it shows my payment isn't even due until October!

Caller had a very strong accent and I couldn't quite understand all that was said. Kept asking for my account number but I didn't give it to them. It is possible to code call blocking into the programming just like it is possible to code the ability to c****e the originating number for Caller ID. The phone company doesn't care because they get your/my money for each call that connects. Which is why I do not answer any phone calls on any phone that I do not know for sure who is calling.

They asked for my account number 'to verify my information'. I told them absolutely not. Then they wanted my phone number 'to verify my information'. Returned their call, on hold several minutes. They would not identify themselves or company they are with. Speaker had an accent that was (my guess) from India. Phone connection was poor, I believe the call was re-routed from the Florida number to an overseas number. After several minutes of trying to understand what they were saying, they wanted to know whether we have a Macy's charge card. It was time to just **** up. I believe it's a scam to get credit card account numbers.
