Second time in my life this person has tried to do this. Idk "his" angle. But its a weak attempt. Beware. How is one supposed to deposit a fake check in the first place?? When I went to bank to do that my account was frozen and NIW being investigated in a money laundering scam. And in all kinds of trouble. Oh and now his phone number no longer works!
