Received a message from someone with extremely foreign accent who completely mispronounced my name and said to call this number for Criminal Investigations of the IRS, and that my name was****ociated with grievous criminal acts or so****ing like that. Did not give his or her name (couldn't tell gender of caller, sounded like a woman). Googled the number and got this.

I received the exact same message. Brian Mc Allister and said I was being investigated for IRS criminal activity and I was to call him back right way. I did not, I looked up the number here and as I suspected it is another scam call. His accent was Indian or ****stani. This number needs to be reported somewhere so this man and his company can be shut down.

Took an extortion report today from a victim of "Brian Mc Allister". He conned this victim out of 20,000.00+! The IRS does not operate this way. If anyone represents themselves as an official of the government and asks you to purchase "Green Dot" cards and then provide the PIN over the phone, **** up they are a fraud! A law enforcement official cannot arrange for your bond, that's what bail bonds folks are for. We do not ask folks to "pay for an investigation" up front. That would come after a court proceding and more than likely be in addition to your sentence if you were convicted.

I received a call from "agent McAllister' yes****ay.. said he was with IRS Investigation team and that my husband had been investigated and owed IRS over 50K.. he was willing to settle with me if I would give him $842.35 to make it go away.. if not I was threatened with my husbands arrest.. prison time up to 5 yrs and 50k fine.. of course I did not go along with this and he became very agitated with me and after a brief verbal confrontation, he ***g up on me. I have contacted IRS., this is definitely a scam.. I will contact my local prosecutors office today.. Please pass this along.. I think they are targeting older people..

If you get a phone call from someone claiming to be from the IRS, here’s what you should do: If you know you owe taxes or you think you might owe taxes, call the IRS at 1.800.829.1040. The IRS employees at that line can help you with a payment issue – if there really is such an issue. If you know you don’t owe taxes or have no reason to think that you owe any taxes (for example, you’ve never received a bill or the caller made some bogus threats as described above), then call and report the incident to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration at 1.800.366.4484. If you’ve been targeted by this scam, you should also contact the Federal Trade Commission and use their “FTC Complaint****istant” at FTC.gov. Please add "IRS Telephone Scam" to the comments of your complaint.

Yes, my parents came home to the SAME message: Brian McAllister, from the Criminal Investigation Dept. of the IRS!!! He called the wrong number and was dumb enough to leave a message. I haven't live with my parents for over 20 years. And there were some other details that made it obvious it is a SCAM!!! Has anyone notified the IRS about this fraudulent used of their Department? I hope they catch this guy. Terribly background noise and not sure what the accent is supposed to be...?
(202) 241-2053 - July 10th, 2014 4:35pm
He said is name is Brian Macallister and that there is legal matter left this number. The person he was asking for does not live in this country and there is no way there could be any legal matter a***nst him. That's how I knew this was a scam and sure enough I see here same story for others...
(202) 241-2053 - July 9th, 2014 10:50pm
He mentions his name as officer Brian McAlister of Crime Investigation dept. of IRS. Mentions there is a tax fraud case a***nst us and wanted us to call him back. He leaves his number clearly twice as 202-241-2053 and the same got recorded on our display. Clearly a south asian accent (Indian, ****stani or ****ladeshi). He is a FRAUDULENT person, looking for some easy target. He is shame to his community. Be careful, don't fall prey to him. IRS does not call people this way.
(202) 241-2053 - July 8th, 2014 10:59pm

Said his name was Dexter, IRS Legal****istant, the IRS has s****ed criminal Fraud case a***nst me, wanted the name of my Lawyer. I asked for specifics, and he just kept repeating himself over and over no matter what I said. Had fairly strong accent, middle-eastern, Indian, ****stani...I called the number back using *67 to block my number, he answered, but not in any official capacity, I asked who it was, he said, "Your dad"... IRS scam. Punk using the phone to shake down unsuspecting folks. Number registered to YMAX Communications Corp. Washington, DC...catch the maggot, put him in prison where he belongs.
