Same as everyone: Today 3/25/25 Used “[email protected] Asked about clean title and asked me to take down my ad for an extra $200. Offered to buy for my asking. Smelled fishy so I Googled his email and found this thread. Why oh why do people do this? From my ad on Autottrader Clasdics, BTW.

Wow how about that. All the comments I looked at are pretty much identical to my experience. Yep. He represented himself/itself as an interested buyer with the same MO as other comments here. How about that. Thanks to all who took time to Comment!

Same thing. Selling car on Autotrader. Same exact message as others have reported. I said lets set up a Zoom call and asked for his personal info so I could have my private investigator (I use one for work) verify his iden***y. Crickets after that!

Autotrader scam, exactly the same message as those who have posted before. This person is either making money doing this or he has a serious ******logical problem. FBI should grab him based upon the complaints on this site going back at least a couple of years!
