Caller was NorthStar -- collecting a Bank of America credit card debt. They had all the into about my account, and offered me an okay settlement. I said I'd have to look into it. I called back later and asked for a better settlement. The agreedagreed to settle the account for 50% of the total amount of the debt. I gave them my checking info. This was yes****ay morning. This morning my BA online banking info says that the transaction is processing. I haven't received my twice-daily harassing call from BA since agreeing to the settlement. So far, so good! (I'll update this if everything goes to*****, but am confident that it's all okay.)
