If you call that number they answer as "Discover Loans." While they graciously promised to remove my number from their database, I have my doubts. Further, Though I have answered calls from this number 3 times, there was never any response from the other end. So, I also told them it is malfunctioning.

Lending Tree Loan provider... this particular company claims to have high BBB ratings and reviews. They offer low rates, but they try to stick you with insanely high closing costs... buyer beware... they are relentless too. Expect a million phone calls until you answer.
