Got a strange call from this number the person on the phone was asking for a lot of info on someone who was not connected to my number. They got scared when i demanded to speak with a supervisor. After waiting a long time a Woman got on and asked what was wrong. I informed her I strongly objected to being harrassed for info on someone I didn't know. She then gave me another 800 number claiming it was their office number. They claim to be the Northland Group watch your selves with these folk don't give them any info. They don't appear to be totally upfront.

I don't know who they are and I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST and it is suppose to stop these people from calling. I do not owe anything that warrants a collection agency to call me. I keep receiving calls from these idiots. In the past I have had several places call about a person who has the same name as my husband. I ask them the birthdate of the person they are calling for and it is always this other persons, usually after they argue with me. They seem to get really nasty after you s**** asking them questions. Do they have nothing better to do than to bother people who do pay their bills. There has got to be a way to stop this. If you tell them on the first sentence that you are recording the call (and do record it) they will go nuts. Since you have told them in advance that you are recording the call (very important to do that by law), you will then be able to very easily sue them.

This is a collection agency that buys up old debt, much of it past the statute of limitations, and hopes that the people they call are more ****** than they are. The very next day, I rec'd another call from this number. It went to my voice mail. A North Group rep left a msg for this same person. I called them back to explained to them that they have the wrong number. They insisted that the person they are looking for called them from my cell phone because they have the number on file. The gentleman was rude and disrespectful and then he ***g up on me. So you know I called back to tell him how rude he was. He began shouting and yelling and of course I did too.
