I just got a call from sprint saying my bill was past due. They called from 512-686-4806 and they left a phone number to call 1-888-335-6963. They could not answer any questions and/or help. In fact, when I asked to speak to a supervisor- I was ***g up on.

Similar to several of the other contibutors. Received an automated call on our home phone requesting to speak to James **** regarding wireless account number ending in (no numbers given). They had the right name, but the fact that they did not provide the last four digits of the cellular account seemed fishy. For security purposes, the message said to key-in the zip code****ociated with the account. Still su****ious, I keyed-in a bogus zip. The zip was not recognized and I was given the option to select '1' to place the call on hold so that I could look up the correct zip code. No options were provided to talk to someone live, so I ***g up. After checking the number on this site, I went to the Sprint website to check on my account. Turns out, I do have a past due balance. When I called Sprint to follow-up, and explained the call that I received, the support person said that someone else had received a similar call and that Sprint would not place a call to our landline, but would call our cell phone directly (which is what I believed all along). Because of the detail that the call had, it almost appears that someone has hacked into the Sprint account files (or perhaps their data on their website) and is making 'collection calls' with the intent to obtain credit card info. If so, this is a very slick scam. If it really is Sprint (which I doubt), they are making a very large customer service blunder.Best advice, **** up and call Sprint or check your account online.

I have sprint service, and actually am late on my account. However, I never answer calls from 800 numbers unless I know them. When I called back this number, they asked for the billing zipcode for the account ending in 1619. This is a scam. I pressed 0 repeatedly, and there were no other options to talk to a representative. They also referred me to a number 1-888-211-9939 if I needed time to "confirm my zipcode". Do not give them your info. You may be late on your bill, and maybe this company can find out that you are to make you pay a balance to them. Ask for proof that they are from sprint, then call sprint with any address/info they give to you. I bet they wouldn't be able to confirm that info. I called sprint and they do not have this number as one of their collections numbers. They are going to look into this matter...

I don't even have Sprint as my carrier. I keep getting these calls on my landline. They are asking for someone who doesn't even live here. 7 calls in 9 days, called Sprint they said they have no record of my number in there system at all. I asked to speak with financial and they supervisor said it wasn't neccessary he would take care of it. We will see. Next call is to the FCC.
