Verizon wireless prepaid service automatically runs credit card information that doesn't belong to their account holders. They do not try to correct their mistakes instead they place the blame on whomever that account holder is. I have a problem with this because my credit card was fraudulently run. I spoke with account rep Katrina and she tried to blame the owner of the phone then I asked to speak with someone to see what can be done about reversing the charge back to my card she said that she couldn't do it but could get me to a supervisor to help. I was then transferred to a supervisor by the name of Telisha and was given the unfornately nothing can be done line. It's funny how everything can be done to take your money but nothing can be done to get your money back to you. I did not authorize this charge and don't appreciate it being done without my permission.

I received my cc bill today and noticed the three charges from VZWRLSS*ECARS OT 888-294-6804 CA. I called my cc company and they confirmed that the charges was from verizon and the thing is I don't have a verizon phone or prepaid phone or anything of the such. No one has ever touched my cc and I always keep it in a safe place, I have no idea how someone can get my cc information since I really never use it. So far my cc company is taking action and going to do an investigation on this situation, also I went to the verizon store and talked to them about the situation but all they said is that there really isn't nothing they could do since I didn't have an account with them. Well hopefully my cc company can figure out who's behind this.

i did not get any calls from this number, but i had a 100 dollar mastercard gift card and when i tried to use it earlier today (dec 1) on amazon, i found out that someone else had already charged $90 on it this morning in a place called folsom CA. im in the process of getting the money back with mastercard, but it will take an extrordinarily long time. lucky i caught this today though, could have been worse. this seems like a pretty big problem. one difference though, mine said vzwrlss-ivr vw.

no phone call. used CC at a restaurant, a couple days later $200 to this vzecars thing. Luckily the CC company stopped all charges after that. It is really too bad Vz isn't more consumer friendly in stopping this theft.

Many criminals who steal credit cards call this number and then use the stolen credit card to buy minutes for their prepaid phones. Verizon Wireless customer service states they can not determine who used your card unless you provide them the 10 digit number...if you knew that you would not need their help. Their response is BS. The fraud departments can investigate it further and determine this but good luck getting them to****ist. Some people get hit with ***dreds of dollars of charges if not thousands before they cancel their cards. Until the Verizon Fraud department educates their customer service representatives to send the calls to them this problem will always exist. The fraud department needs to get more advanced with how to deal with this issue but to be frank...they don't care. Criminals know this trick and it cost everyone in the long run. One way to stop this may be to require the billing zip code for the credit card but often the bad guy has your drivers license as it was in the wallet or purse they stole. The charge on your card will have the 888# with the following: "VZWRLSS* ecars OT" godd luck resolving the issue. Most of the time the bank or credit card company will eat the cost as long as you have a police report to prove your card was stolen.
