How do you know it is Discover Card? Just because the caller says they are from Discover? Doesn't it occur to folks that the caller maybe LYING about who they represent? I agree that this is a scam directed towards fooling you to get any of your private info (ie; Soc Num, etc.). Also those who are running a fraudulent scam operation most likely don't care about the 'Do Not Call' list. They are already committing a felony. I don't think they are concerned about the 'list'. BTW I just received such a call on my cell phone. They use robo-callers that just dial every number in sequence looking for a hit.
