They claim to be attempting to collect a debt; student loans. They refuse to identify themselves and insist I have to confirm my iden***y so that they are sure they are speaking with the correct person. I refuse because they are clearly phishing for information and a legitimate debt collector has to be law identify themselves regardless of who they are speaking to. I would be concerned if this company calls you and refuses to send written information, which a***n by law, they have to comply with within five business days.
