After a long pause someone will come on the line and ask for my mother by name. My mother is in late stage dementia and has been legally declared incapacitated. They then will ask for my wife by name. My wife lives in Arkansas while I am going to school in Oklahoma. They are calling my cell phone and refuse to talk to me or identify themselves. If they are legit and looking for my mother, legally they must talk to me. What I can't figure out is how they have my cell number on their call list. If they are legit, they need to talk to me. If they aren't, they need to stop calling my cell phone.

Calls several times a day. No one says a word when I pick up and they usually **** up within a couple seconds of me saying*****o. And then call back immediately! All hours of the day; especially early morning. No one says anything, no messages left. Nothing..this has to stop!

I was told on the phone this was an attempt to collect a debt. I said I had nothing financed with GMAC since the 80's!!! He said he could not pull the account up by my phone number that he needed a social. With out thinking I gave it to him. He said there was nothing and he would block my number from being called. I have not been home yet from work to see if they have called or not. I am worried this was a scam and I gave my social out!!
