Mostly the same as the report on May 30th above. Caller pretended to be our grandson, rear ended a little old lady and was put in jail for a suspected DWI. We were to call his attorney, Terry, to post bail of $5,000. We called our grandson who was happily at work. End of story.

May 29th 2020 at 11 am - Male inpersonating a lawyer. Calls himself Perry Thomas. Contacted my mother and her husband by cell phone. They have a different last name then me. Told them that it was involved in an accident and rear ended another car with a pregnant wonam inside. Explained that when the police arrived that I was given a breathalizer, fail, and taken to the Fulton county jail in Atlanta Georgia. He stated that I attempted to call my mom and was not able to get through, so he was my next call and is now representing me. He then able to convince my mother that it was me by allowing her to speak with me by phone. She stated, "that I said, I was embarrased and in jail. I did not want anyone to know and that I needed $4,000 to post bond." Then the lawyer got on the phone and gave instructions of where to wire money. My mothers husband asked the lawyer for his email, the name of his firm, information about my case number. The lawyer only gave an email. It failed, he then gave a second one and said it was his secrataries. These are the emails [email protected] = returned [email protected] = received He verbalized instructions of how to wire from WellsFargo. No money transfer or wire took place
