Called about debt collection. Couldn't tell me my name or what they were collecting debt on. Dumb scam.

Refused to give a name. Didn’t actually know who they were calling yet claimed they’re collecting a debt... then they should know who they’re calling or attempting to collect a debt from...

called asking for my daughter told lady that I was the mother. I called my daughter told her she called them back they told her that she needed to give them her address to look up her name and asked for her phone number.daughter told her thatshe wasn't comfortable giving out her address,it was their responsibility to know who is calling them without giving her address to them. sounds very fishy to me!!!!!!

This is harassment to the ****! My ***her called this number back to speak with a "Tyler Simpson"... Asking for his ss# .. Refusing to give him any information why he was calling. "Tyler" called my sister's in laws asking personal information about my ***her... This should be a***nst the law!

Caller left message asking for "location information" about a possible neighbor. Not sure how he knew this possible neighbor, or how he got our phone number

They left a low sounding disheartening message on my ma****e about trying to find the location of the name who happens to be my minor child! When I called to tell them as much and to have us removed I was told "to get over it" Offensive, obnoxious, unprofessional and rude on top of it all!

Called my elderly mother,sister and ex-wife (divorced for over 18 years. I am pretty sure this is a scam, I have no outstanding debts and I am listed in the phone book and very easy to find. I told my Mother and sister to report them to our state attorney general.

leaving messages on my 80 year old mothers answering ma****e about where I am, that frightened her.

Called my elderly mother asking for the last four digits of her social security number. He said she owes money and threatned her to pay in two days. Not her debt and not her social security number. What a ****!

Calls mobile and home phone 10 times a day leaving the name "Keith Fuller".

Called my sister in a different state asking how he could reach me.

Keeps calling my Mom and leaving messages for someone who does not live there to have him call him back. My mother is elderly and a dimentia patient, Lord knows what she had told him about this person and since she doesn't know the person they are asking for that is bad. She's not suppose to be answering the phone.

I answered the call after talking to them and explaining we are seeing a debt counselor. They said do not do that and if I did not make a $50 paymnet at least they would call my neighbors. I do not have $50 right now and they are calling my neighbors. For what reason ?

Left a hand writen paper in my door. so i call they said they didn't have my name in the system and they needed my ss number. said i would not give it to them unless they told me who they was.

I second the "counselor" on that, times are bad and it seems like they are getting worse, people just don't run up a charge, but they lost their jobs, they are trying to keep their heads above water with the little check EDD sends them, they have kids and as parents in their natural instinct they will feed, house and clothe their children before they feed the collectors kids. That's what I'm doing.

Hope you never lose your job , home, etc.  Lots of people did, and not because of anything other than working for the wrong company at the wrong time.  Good, honest people find themselves in this situation today because of the world economy, not because of a m**** failing.  Anyone with any kind of attention-span to world events could see that.  Instead of lying in wait on this site trying to make people in trouble feel bad, go out and work in a soup kitchen for a day and see what's really going on out there.

I suspect a debt collector/collection agency. Identified company as "Client Services" in reference to a business application.

Good luck pressing charges.  Pay your bill, refer to the application you signed and agreed to, but defaulted on, and see what recourse you have.  Why don't you go lend someone your money, have them not pay you back and see what you do.  It is only people who think they can run up charges, not pay them and not have the courtesy to atleast let the bank know they have no intention of honoring their word, much less obligation, that complain.  Thanks for****isting in ruining our economy.

Perhaps if you returned the call, you would find out what they wanted.  They do have your complete SS#, but by law, they have to verify with you they are speaking with the correct person.  Try calling your telephone company about your bill, they too will have you verify your mailing address, and last 4 digits of your social BEFORE they discuss the bill with you.  If they are calling your neighbors it is only because you have avoided every other attempt from the original creditor first, and then the 3rd party agency hired after many failed attempts from the original creditor as stated, to hear back from you.  They can legally in most states call your family members,****ociates, and neighbors to reach you.  Review the contract you signed prior to running up a charge and not paying it or fulfilling your obligation.  Trust me, if someone owed you money, you would do the same.  Oh and personal information is not revealed to anyone but yourself, or your spouse.  All calls are recorded, collectors are not ******, and anyone who states otherwise, is lying.

All third party debt collectors must adhere to the FAIR DEBT COLLECTIONS ACT. It is the consumer that may owe the debt, yet have a level of protection.  When the debt collector steps out to contact neighbors, family members or employers, ir is they who are in violation of the is ACT and would be subject to a fine not to exceed $1000 per incident, plus court costs.  Continued harrassment, as this is called, could involve sanctions by the Federal Trade Commission which can levy fines, sometimes in the millions of dollars.Keep tract of all calls, monitor them, get the names of the parties contacted, date, time, what was asked of them.Be prepared for do***entation and file with the FTC.  You can also tell them to STOP all calls, emails, text messages, etc.  However, they can send all the letters they want.  Most are too lazy to do this, plus it is very time consuming.  If you know the location, contact the State Attorney General.  New York and Pennsylvania have the harshest penalties.  DO NOT LET THEM GET AWAY with anything.

Mr. Wheeler called me yes****ay & has left a voicemail both times. He wants to know the location of my parents. I called my parents today and My mother mentioned to me that the neighbor just stopped by explaining they recieved a voicemail from the same person for the same reasons. I agree with some of the above comments, he was pretty forceful with their words. It should defintately be a***nst the law for these people to call anyone other than the individuals involved.

"Karen ____________"  (unintelligible) from Client Services, St. Louis, Missouri left a message asking for "useful information" about my next door neighbor, using his full correct name.  Ext # 54955.   He's a good guy & has no idea why they'd a) be calling at all & b) calling a neighbor when his phone number is readily available.

This company is "Client Services Inc. Tracey Karen called from St. Charles, MO stated that she was a debt company trying to collect a debt and that I should call her back @ ext 54196.

This company called my grandmother also. She said her name was Ashley Galadi with Client Services and she told my grandmother that I didn't return time sensitive do***ents. I used to live there when I was like 12. Any accounts I have now all have my info so I thought this one might be fraud. Is this a legit company or is this ****??

Called my grandmother (where I used to live) claiming I'd used her as a reference. She didn't tell them anything, but the msg was to call back Ms. Slayden at x55325. I'm worried they will keep calling her if she told them she could give me a msg. I'm glad this board exists. I was able to tell her immed that it was false.

Called neighbor's house asking all kinds of personal information, including financial.  Fortunately, neighbor didn't just fall off the ****** truck and didn't tell them anything.  I am investigating this company, their tactics, and their unlawful dissemination of private personal information to anyone who might answer the telephone.  I hope that they have insurance, because this is going to be easier than taking candy from a baby.

Tiffany called asking for who lived here and said she has a private message and to call back and ask for X55197-I asked who and what she wanted and said she could not devulge information-its a private financial concern-I would say bordering on the rude side

Courtney Landers at extension #4708 called from "Client Services" for my Mother.  I asked what is was in reference to and she said it was a "personal financial matter".  She then had the nerve to ask if there was a number she could reach my Mother at.  If my Mother gave someone a number, it wouldn't be her business number if it's so****ing personal.  I'm gonna let them know if they call a***n to remove our number from their list.  I think it's telemarketing in "sheep's clothing".

They called my neighbors haouse saying i used him as a reference and that they needed to talk to me.  But left no info just a number and when i called it back they stated they needed my ssn.  Are you crazy you called me shouldnt you know that info.  Im going to press charges if you dont stop calling my neighbors. Thats harrasment. They say they are Client Services.

Called my ***her and left name "Larry Sanders" x4827. Someone else with my name (but different SS number) owes money. I go through this every few years. Very annoying, and****entially damaging if they are calling other people I know.

these guys are "Client Services" third party handlers of who knows what accounts main line if you want to call back 800-521-3236 don't call too late as they have to go home and noone can help you but they will give you voice mail

Called and was looking for a friend. I don't think debt collectors should be able to call anyone but the debt owner. I think it's a shame that I now know that he has financial problems.

It's a debt collector. He will call your friends and neighbors looking for you. He has done that to us. This is absolute harassment and I will press charges if possible for him calling people other than me telling them my business.

We live in a different town from my brother-in-law. Someone named Reggie at this company called our home looking for my husbands brother.I have no idea how they ended up with our number. But it seems they are off the chart in what they will do to find who they are looking for. I understand them wanting their money. But someone needs to do so****ing about how this company does business

I cant say it is a complaint, he was not annoying, he asked about a person that he thought lives in my house. I googled his phone number up and he was a debt collector.

Neighbor came over and told me Barbara asking me if their was a Julie Korp here and there is no one here by that name. How dare they call a neighbor and have someone come to my house. I do not want anyone to call me or my neighbor or neighbors. I do not give them permission to contact me through a neighbor or the management ordering them to send a letter to my house either.
