What I find appalling is that I have to do so****ing to get them to stop. That's not OK. These people and all these big Call Centers are making a fortune for the owners. One here in Florida boasts a 10 billion dollar industry. They make their money for their investors by annoying us: By invading our homes and essentially telling us they have the right to try to sell us so****ing until they've been told not to. I don't agree with that philosophy. They have no right to try. If I want so****ing I will seek it; not the other way round. "We'll take you off our call list for 5 years IF you do this or that" is nothing more than extortion. We need to let our congressman know that we want the Do Not Call List expanded to include ALL types of unwanted calls or we need the technology (which exists) on each and every phone system to completely block any unknown, unwanted calls without paying extra to the phone company to do it. This too is a form of extortion.

(**** up!)The Jefferson County DA adds: Do not allow the caller to interrupt you or try and get you to stay on the line by trying to engage you in further talk. Read the script (above) and **** UP. This is NOT BEING RUDE. It is protecting you from unwanted, and perhaps criminal, offers and intrusions.If telemarketers call you back or are rude, interrupt and say: "WE DON'T HAVE A GOOD CONNECTION - CALL ME BACK ON MY OTHER LINE." contacted the site that a comment said to try. Claims they are contacting for a church and had the do not call info why they are exampt. They are imposing on my life and have NO business inquiring about private things especially since they call and **** up without talking.
