You must be a young, immature, small minded indiviual who is lonely and feels he can be a real tough guy by saying such a ****** statement. Must have been picked on in high school a few years ago. Many people find themselves in debt not due to excesses but unemployment, sickness, injury or the loss of a family member. You can't have family because the rest of us in society have had a member of our family down on their luck and while we support them they continue to struggle. But most of this would make no sense to you. I do know how much a collector makes for income and I have to say you have really missed your career path you should have worked for Enron as an energy sales agent, you would have loved to ripp off old grandma's make a small fortune then boast about it. Funny thing I saw on the news after they closed down Enron those same smart young though guys were caught on TV crying like little babies.I comforted in the fact that I'm older and while I have regrets I have lots of friends and family but enjoy what you like to do because when you do grow up you'll be the type that looks around and find no family or friends and then you'll have real regrets. Given this time of year I'm really surprised that you did not included in your post " are there no prisons, and the union workhouses - are they still in operation?

M1234I advise you (explain to your mother t to) simply **** up the minute they call and not waste your energy on them. If it is an old debt they can NOT do anything to you except abuse you. be well.

My mom received a couple of messages from them s****ing last week.  As she doesn't speak English well, I called back on her behalf to find out the nature of the call.  They would not tell me what it's about and were extremely rude; just said they need to talk to her.  I told him either talk to me or don't talk to her at all as she doesn't speak English.  They asked me to get power of attorney then they'll talk to me.  After reading the above comments and relating to the rudeness of Active Capital, I can say that my mom does not owe any debts at all, so I don't know why the heck they are calling.  He said they will continue to call until they can speak to her.  If they call back, I will have a few choice words for them!!!

I was informed by a creditor that my debt has been transferred to Active Capital and was told to contact them which I did to resolve the debt. My partner offerred to pay off the debt provided that they accept 1/3 of the outstanding amount, but this not-so-smart company or agent wants 50% as pay out. I am not in the position to pay as I am a full time student, but now that this company has rejected the robust offer, my partner has s****ed shopping for xmas meaning the money is no longer there. I was threatened with phone calls which unknown to the rep that I have developed a thick skin to. I sure felt good after reading all your posts online. I cannot believe that someone can be unreasonable and turn down such a robust offer considering the economic mess that the world is experiencing now.

recently I spoke to the Active Kapital Acquisition Ltd. in London Ontario, and committed to re-pay my debts. I prove  my tell# address as well. I just wanted to get rid of my debts. After all of this posting I c****e my mind' I  LOVE a***n my debts. I will lough if they will cal me a***n.  Sahara  ext:2292 is the name of the girl deals with me. She is "dry" like Sahara no feeling at all. Marry Christmas  to all of you!

just don't pick up their calls and if you do, laugh at them, I find that REALLY ***ves them off... like others on here, we are getting harassed for someone else's bill via our cell phone number... last time (today) that they called, I picked up and just s****ed laughing, the girl got very irate with me and rude, I just laughed a***n and told her to have a very merry Christmas and ***g up.  You attract more flies with honey than you do with vinegar and these people can't handle someone actually laughing at their vain attempts :o) Nothing like a good giggle first thing in the morning!!

They also go by the phone number 519 963 8180. I s****ed getting calls from them on my cell (never answered them b/c I'd get charged long distance) but I called it from another line to see who was calling, and I hear the person who answered say "Active Capital", google and find this.I know why they are calling, my cell number used to belong to someone else and ever since I got this number, every few months I have people calling me to collect debt from this guy. I repeatedly tell them that this is my personal cell number and clearly I'm a girl and not "Mohammed", but another company just ends up calling me later on.I wonder what will happen if I call them back (or answer the phone for once) and tell them that no, I am not mohammed, I am Sarah, and what the***** can they do over the phone...idiots.

Thank you for everyone who posted their comments here!!! I wish I would have read them before I decided to call "Active Capital Acquisition Inc" back. I left them a message to call me on my cell b/c CLEARLY I work 7 - 5 and won't be around to answer their 8am phone call!!! I ignored the first message rec'd b/c I did not ever speak with someone from this company before in my life as she stated I did. Today I rec'd yet another message on my phone telling me how important it was that I call her back, the funny thing is - they gave someone else's name. I wonder how they are going to spin that one??

Hey Collector,keep a calling me! I'm all for clearing out your conscience from past trauma and abuse.  Obviously you don't own a credit card to use to pay for therapy sessions! Yell at me, get out your frustrations, it's ok....your mother loved you when you were little, she did the best she could.

automated call at work today - it was lucky that I happened to answer the phone.. Not even sure how they got the number.They s****ed calling me about 2 months ago - trying to collect on debt that's over 9 years old! My understanding is that Statute of Limitations says that any debt over 7 years old is no longer considered legally binding?Original amount was $18K - now they sent me a letter saying that I can pay half and they would consider matter closed.On one of the blogs I read that this company specializes in "buying" old outstanding loans from original creditors for next to nothing ($10- $20) and then try to go after debtors, trying to get some money from them. Their letter seems to confirm this: what creditor in their right mind would just "forgive" $9000?? If they had ANY legal backing, they wouldn't be doing that.

These people are goofs....just look at the comment from "A COLLECTOR".....What a sad bunch of people that look for employment to get out their aggressions opposed to therapy....these are clearly uneducated people that have never used a student loan to go to school or else they wouldn't be calling us and never had a credit card because $10.00/hr won't get you approved, so of course, they have no idea about being in debt! you can all do what I did... i called had the same issue.. with the lack of respect/manners/rude.. I called and I said to them this is a business number that persone does not work here anymore and to kindly remove the number from their database... hopefully that works....

We received a telephone message advising that as a current customer we were eligible for a great offer.  I called the number and asked what the company name was "Active Capital" I then apologized and advised that I had dialed the wrong number.  Thanks for the heads up!  I have had calls from them in the past but I thought they had stopped as it has been at least 6 months since I had heard from them.  Relentless to say the least - and yes they are extremely rude!

got a few call from them.they were extremely aggressive  and rude trying to get personal information and would not  answer questions as to why thet are calling and would only sat they offer personal services.I asked her not to call the phone number a***n as it belongs to my mother who is ill a nd had a ******.she replied that she would keep calling and give her another ******.

They called for my husband and the message said that they had a great offer for him!! when I called back requesting to know the nature of their call I was told it was none of my business. I asked them to not call back and was told/Yelled at they'd continue to call until my "dead beat husband returned their call I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told No repeatedly and continued to be yelled at. Finally a supervisor by the Name of Dave Cochrane came on the phone and immediately yelled at me for wasting their time. I contacted The ca***ian government about this company @ 1- 800-889-9768 andwas given the OPerator/managers contactnumber 1-519-432-0075 ext 2625 Her name is Suzanne LeRoache. SHe was not available when I called a few minutes ago but I will call a***n. The government said to contact her and if still not able to resolve issue I can file a report with the Government. This is an extremely rude bunch of individuals. Their Proper leagal name is Active Capital Contingency Inc. They also go by Active Capital aquisitions ca***a Inc. and Active Capital Caoital Ca***a, They Have an address in London Ontari 1001-130 Dufferin Avenue East London Ontario N6A 5R2  This address was given by Manager Dave Cochrane. Other numbers related to this company are 866-903-1741 866-877-1626 and 866-226-8881 also the head office number of 519-432-0075
