This is a jail call. They do not charge you if you answer. It will tell you who the call is from and you have the option to accept the charges, set up an account or decline the call. You have to push the yes ****on a couple of times to be charged. Calm down, it might be your cousin....

This is not spam. It is Securus Tech. Someone from jail is trying to call you. If you have your phone set up with payment information so that you can receive calls from jail, this is not the number that they will call you from. If you get a call from this number, it's because your balance is too low to accept calls, or you do not have that set up on your phone. It will offer you the opportunity to set up funds to pay for the call. It is not only in FL as some previous comments state.

It will be a recording giving you options like accept this call by entering a credit card number or press a certain number to reject this or all jail calls. I accepted. It was a distant buddy. Parole violation. The facility phone contract also wires money electronically. Your friend in jail will provide you with instructions on transferring money to their "books" (jail account). Once you make a transfer, you should continue to make regular deposits becaue it's cheaper than the repeated phone calls.
