I have Dragon Naturally Speaking on my computer because I use dragon, they tell me they can legally call. I have requested that they not call to solicit/market any products to me. If they need my attention they have my email. The calls continue even contacting their customer service reps does no good. Dragon uses an automated dialer. When you answer,it instructs you to stay on the line for a representative. This is when you find out it is dragon. I use an answering ma****e, because I do not answer the calls dragon calls 4 to 6 times a day every day. they do not get the hint I do not want their 64bit software my computer runs on 32bit. they tell me to buy a new computer, they are not paying for it. How *****ic please help.
(866) 771-6288 - January 12th, 2009 11:51am
This Nuance Company sells PDF Converter. If you ever give them your details and phone number, which you will if you buy their products because they require it, they will call from time to time to see how you are using the software and wonder if you could use more of it. They aren't bad people but they don't have any better way to stay in touch. It's just a bad business decision to use the ****ods they use. And even if you tell them you aren't the person they need to talk to, they keep you in their database and call a***n.
(866) 771-6288 - April 14th, 2009 4:59pm
I purchased a $200 program, Nuance Naturally Speaking 10 Software and installed it about 6 months ago. I do not think that I registered...I really don't think I gave a phone number...I get a lot of spam in my inbox from Nuance and calls a few times a week. Never a message, always ****ing up. I am sick of it. If this is what this company does...as much as I liked the software, I WILL NEVER BUY FROM NUANCE A***N BECAUSE THEY ARE A NUSIENCE!
(866) 771-6288 - July 30th, 2009 12:14pm
I contacted Nuance, and the person I spoke to confirmed that this was one of their telemarketing numbers. I s****ed getting telemarket calls from them after I purchased their product online. I told them not to call me, and then the ****-up calls s****ed. AT&T said to call your local phone company or your cell phone company and log a prank call complaint. The phone companies should handle this.
(866) 771-6288 - June 4th, 2009 1:52pm
Continues to call 2X per week. Answered today and they asked for a name. When told the person was not here, they said there was no message. You can call back the phone number and go through a short automated sequence to have your phone number removed from their list.
(866) 771-6288 - January 16th, 2009 1:56pm
I receive a call from 3 to 4 times per week from this number and it needs to stop, when I answer no one is there. What is the point in being part of the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY when numbers like this are allowed to get through.
(866) 771-6288 - February 20th, 2009 2:25pm
Several calls per month and many end with a **** up on distant end when I answer the call...Unable to determine why I am getting these calls nor can figure out how to get them to stop...They are calling on my business line at home.
(866) 771-6288 - June 17th, 2009 11:55am
I have been receiving average of 4 calls a day from this 866-771-6288 number and all the time I try to answer the call but they **** up and when I call back I do not understand what a voicemail is saying.
(866) 771-6288 - September 11th, 2009 7:08pm
They are s***. They never leave a message. I don't remember doing business with them, but if I did, it was years ago. They are persistent and call often. I refuse to answer and justify to their persistent efforts. They are garbage.
(866) 771-6288 - June 23rd, 2009 3:20pm

(866) 771-6288 - January 5th, 2009 10:43pm

(866) 771-6288 - June 20th, 2008 4:00am
This is the second call in three days. I did not answer as I did not recognize the phone number. Both times no one left a message. Since they are calling my cell phone that I use for my business, I am not pleased. My cell phone recognizes my customers. I don't appreciate individuals/or***nizations or companys who call cell phones without the owners permission. Think about it, we pay a lot of money for cell service and for some of us, a certain allotment of minutes per month. Answering a call where no one answers or ****s up substracts valuable minutes from us.Nuance, from what another caller identified, sells software. One in particular is called PaperPort Professional 11. I know this because the company I work under uses the software. The owner of the business upgraded over a year ago. Recently, I have been receiving several e-mails from Nuance avertizing to upgrade. The funny thing is, it is not my choice but the owner's of the business. I will reply to Nuance to remove me from their e-mail list and advise the owner of the business I work under of the harassing calls. Thanks for the information.
(866) 771-6288 - June 10th, 2008 7:40pm
Nuance bought ScanSoft, and Nuance ‘inherited’ ScanSoft’s lists, the calls have become unbearable. I have had four today; no one is ever on the line. I had twenty over a short period, but at that time I could talk with them if I called the same number. Not anymore. I know they have been getting mega complaints because they have a message now that says if you want to be removed from their calling list, key in your ten-digit number, only it won't let you do that, instead saying to leave your phone number, which I did. I was told it would take sixty (60) days to do this!!! I called Nuance (781-565-5000) and ****ne in Customer Service said she had found me in the customer databsase. She would manually remove me from Nuance's lists. I am faxing them (781-565-5001) my confirmation of their actions. (She was quick to let me know she was not guaranteeing any time limits for the removal.) I am faxing my Senator a copy of the fax to Nuance. It is not a bcc and I have cleared it with the senator’s office.
(866) 771-6288 - June 4th, 2008 2:16pm
After yet another call from this company, I filed a complaint with the FTC Do Not Call Web site. Not wanting to use any of my cheapo 300 minute/month cell phone plan to call Nuance, I stumbled around their Web site until I found an email form, and requested that my personal data be removed from their database. I too purchased and registered Omni Page Pro many years ago, but haven't even used it in at least 7 years. There needs to be a statute of limitations regarding the amount of time a "prior business relationship" remains valid. I guess it's time to call my representative in Congress (I don't want to receive political calls either, but that will have to wait for another time, or perhaps, another representative).
(866) 771-6288 - September 22nd, 2008 4:00am
Just received the call. There was no one there for the first 10 seconds, but as I couldn't put the phone down right away, someone did come on the line after that. When I called back this exact number, I didn't have to speak to anyone in order to be put on their do not call list. I just dialed and immediately there was a ma****e that said to "press 1" if I want my number to be removed from the list. I did so and then left my name and number after the beep to be put on their do not call list. Hope this helps.
(866) 771-6288 - July 31st, 2008 4:00am
Since I have been a past customer of Nuance, they have a right to call me.If a person would be on the line, that would be ok. They could make their offer and I could say yes or no and that would be the end of it. But I don't understand this ****-up routine. I plan to call them and clear this up. I have purchased several products from them and was mostly satisfied with same.Until I found your website, I had been afraid that someone was calling me just to see if anyone was home - and perhaps break into the house.
(866) 771-6288 - July 3rd, 2008 4:00am
Yes, this is Nuance. Call their customer service Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. (Eastern Time), Phone: 1-800-654-1187. I called and requested that all of my contact information be immediately removed from their database. Although their "Customer Service Rep" (who was definitely not service oriented at all, was somewhat curt, she did****ure me that the phone number and email would be removed from the database and that communications should cease. Time will tell -- but I should know within 24 hours since the calls have been practically daily for the past two weeks.
(866) 771-6288 - July 11th, 2008 4:00am
Called Nuance back at 1-800-654-1187 option 3, said their 866 771-6288 number was calling me all the time several times a day on a daily basis and requested my number be removed from their calling lists. She identified my name from my phone number I gave her, and said she will note to remove my phone number from their calling lists. Hopeful.I suspect this is an outsourceing service they provide to unrelated telemarketers to determine at what time of the day and week, a human will be home and available to pick up the phone.
(866) 771-6288 - May 23rd, 2008 5:39pm
I just left a message with Marketing in thier world headquarters concerning this harrassing practice. I told them I would no longer buy their products if they were to continue engaging in this practice. I suggest you all do the same. Just call 1-781-565-5000 and ask for the marketing department. I asket to speak to w***ver was in charge of phone solicitation programs and was transferred to the phone line of a woman who's name I did not get but who sounded very important and professional on her message.
(866) 771-6288 - October 30th, 2008 5:14pm
Called ID "New Once" 866-771-6288. Web shows number belongs to Nuance in Burlington MA. Receive several calls a month from this caller ID and t#. Am on do not call registry; file regular complaints with Attry General a***nst this and other numbers that call but do not identify themselves or identify themselves properly or give any reason why the call is made (no message left). I use caller ID to reduce the number of calls as well as enforce do not call registry. Wish more would do the same.
(866) 771-6288 - May 30th, 2008 11:52am
The website is nuance.com. I guess that they probably s****ed with nuisance.com but url was not available. Anyway, (everyone) log in to their site an go through all of their internal links. If you ttally understand what these people are all about, you are the one that thy're trying to contact. May I suggest that all who own a fax ma****e or computer fax ability, dial that number at precicely 10:00 AM on Monday, 6/2/08 and just leave it for one hour. Enjoy
(866) 771-6288 - July 14th, 2008 7:09pm
It's hard to believe that this ****** company is still at it. I sent an email to [email protected] (no reply, but at least it didn't bounce), submitted a form on their website, filed a complaint with the FTC, and since they were calling my cell phone, also filed a complaint with the FCC, all on June 6th. The call frequency increased the following day, but was able to declare June 8th as Nuance Independence Day with not a single call since! Good luck, everyone!
(866) 771-6288 - June 3rd, 2008 6:23pm
I have had no business dealings with this company, and my phone number has been registered with the Do Not Call list since its inception. I've received several calls but, since I have a limited-service cell phone with caller ID, have chosen to answer none. I'll probably answer next time, get as much information as I can, and report them to the FTC. I really hate telemarketers, and I will never purchase anything from these ****s!
(866) 771-6288 - November 12th, 2008 2:20pm
Un-relenting, bothersome calls from 866-771-6288 (Nuance) What a pain in the ---. Will never buy a Nuance product a***n; formerly a good product (yrears ago), but over past few years they have, in my opinion, the worst Customer Service, and relentlessly buggy software. Now seems to be a bad company depending on marketing hype and telemarketing to survive. Hopefully their end is near. Can't seem to get them to drop my tele-number from their 'list.'
(866) 771-6288 - August 28th, 2008 11:20pm
I am a customer of Nuance Software, using several personal and pro programs. If they are calling me about an order or whatever, why don't they identify themselves?? I do not respond to any unidentified calls- to the chagrin once of my accountant who discovererd that his phone company ( big national telecom company) was hiding his identify a***nst his wishes. Anyway, I intend to send Nuance an e-mail complaining about the sneaky ****od they are using.
(866) 771-6288 - June 10th, 2008 1:45pm
I get called 3 times per day. These guys also have to pay for incoming calls also. So here is the idea. Everytime you get a chance call 866-771-6288 and just let the promts go on and on. Or go the customer service and ask for a person that does not exist. If we all fo this at the sametime, we might be albe to jam their system.
(866) 771-6288 - May 30th, 2008 2:28pm
I am in the process of filing a formal complaint with FTC's Do Not Call Registry (https://www.donotcall.gov/). Nuance has been calling and leaving messages on my cell phone for the past month. My cell phone number has been listed on the Do Not Call Registry for at least a year. I am not going to condone being harassed by a telemarketer. It is time to fight back!
(866) 771-6288 - July 8th, 2008 4:00am
I called them back and got an automated system that gave me the option to remove our number. However our number should never have been on their system because we are the do not call list. I have reported them on it. If you need to do the same it's donotcall.gov. I hate companies like this. At least speak when somebody answers the phone!
(866) 771-6288 - May 16th, 2008 12:24pm
They call me on my cell phone - don't know how they got that number. They always **** up. I called back and the first option is "To remove your number from our calling list, press 1." Then the message tells you that your request will be processed within 60 days. I guess they have a REALLY long harassment ***...I mean calling) list.
(866) 771-6288 - September 17th, 2008 11:04am
They repaedetly call over and over and when I try to feed them their own medication they let it ring and then pick it up only to **** up??? Annoying I called Nuances customer service line and asked to be removed from their calling list which seems odd since I am already ont eh national do not call list.
(866) 771-6288 - June 6th, 2008 5:30pm
A followup to my previous posts on this forum -- there IS a time limitation on prior business relationships. Received several calls over the last couple of days - all "**** ups". I called the number back and the voice mail identified the company as "Nuance". Anybody know this company? The voice mail said to be removed from their call list to please enter your 10-digit phone number. I'm not very trusting of that.

I bought the OmniPage and Dragon Naturally Speaking from Nuance, and the Nuance programs need to be activated online. In order to do that, one must go to the Nuance website where a highly excessive amount of information is being asked. Unfortunately, one of the *required portion of information is a person's contact phone number.

This number shows up on my callerid -- it rings, then when I answer, it ****s up. I searched through the internet and found that it was Nuance Software. I called Nuance and asked to be removed from their telemarketing database. They said they would. Obviously, they have not.

This number has been identified as belonging to NUANCE software, the marketers for Dragon Naturally Speaking. Their website is www.nuance.com but there is no way to contact them via email because they require you to register which simply puts you on their mailing list as well as their telemarketing list.

Company keeps calling my home and cell phone. I had called the number and asked to be removed from their call list. Been more than a couple of weeks and I still get calls from this company. Like others, won't do business with this company a***n

This is Nuance, a software company that makes PDF and voice-recognition software (Dragon Naturally). I also had purchased their PDF product, and they called to offer me their Dragon Naturally product. I'm sure that it's a telemarketing company that Nuance has contracted with to make these calls.

Since I have Nuance software, and have registered it, they call me. If it was one call, I wouldn't mind, but they call and call and call, even when I tell them I am pushing 70 and am not in the market for new software!

I receive an average of 3 calls a day from this number and I have stopped answering the calls. I actually did speak from a guy named Steve from Nuance trying to sell me more PDF software. They now keep calling, never leave a message

I have politely informed them that I have no interest in their company or their incessant calling, they have 'siad' that my number will be removed from their list however they continue to call several times a day using my minutes on my cell phone.

Call multiple times a week. I think it is tied to OmniPage as they were calling me and I think it was the same number. When I call back they answer "nuance Software, if you know your parties extension, dial it now" Pain in the rear

I have asked them twice to remove me from the list. They say it will take 60 days. I have a sick child. I spoke to Jan today and she said I would be removed ASAP. I gave her my name and phone number.

They called and when I picked up the phone I got a message that no representativewas available. I don't want them to call be for any reason, but it is especially annoying that they call and then tell me they arn't there.
