I called the real UnitedHealthCare and let them know that all of us that work together have received a call from this number. The gentleman that answered the phone said that didn't sound like so****ing they would do since our privacy is of the utmost importance to them. He transferred me to the Fraud Department (I think that's what he said) but the were closed for the day.

866-625-5131 called me, requesting I call back on 877-828-5737 w/ an 8-digit reference number they provided. The message states United Healthcare, but the call-back number does not ***nd their name, it's just the 'coordination of benefits department.' I have reported this to the real UHC. DO NOT CALL OR PROVIDE ANY #'S OR INFO. SCAM!!!!!

"Linda" (robot voice) at United Health Care "Coordination of Benefits Dept." left a voice message; used my first and last name, and asked that I call a different number 1-877-828-5737 and use an "8-digit personal security code" (which was given to me in the message) to answer a few "simple" questions that would supposedly ensure that claims are paid quickly and accurately. The recording also instructed me to have any other health insurance information handy. The message closed by saying that they may call back if they don't hear from me and then repeated the contact numbers. FYI - I do have United Health Care insurance in a group plan through my employer, but I have never submitted a claim. I do not intend to call this reply number.
