They called and I answered had a poor phone manners and not professional at all. About some debt I was suppose to have made. He claimed it was over 20 years ago on a bill I NEVER PAID. I NEVER HAD THIS BILL AND DONT KNOW WHAT HE WAS TALKING ABOUT. I said I refuse it and will get a lawyer if they want to proceed. He would not give me any info on who they really are. Other than I would be sued if I dont pay now. I said I have nothing to pay and never will pay someone elses debt. He still would not give me more info on who he was working for. He said we will get you and ***g up. They keep calling back all hours.

This number popped up on my new cellphone after registering it with a pair of job recruiter websites. No one out side of a couple people have this number, so it's pretty easy to pin down. Left no message. *** DO NOT REGISTER YOUR NUMBER with offs****guides[dot]com or similar job recruiter sites... Many of them **** you through the 'application ' process, only to get all of your information. After they do, they tell you that to get any service, you have to upgrade to a 'premium' service, for a fee. Lousy thing to do to a guy trying to find a job so that he can save money to get married...

This is one of the many scams floating around. They are hopoing they will find some poor elderly person who may think they owe some bill that they forgot to pay somtime in the past and convince them to pay it.this happened to my mom who thought she was doing me a favor and paid money to some bogus company that said I owed them. When I found out about it and investigated the matter I figuered out I had never even owed the money in the first place. We never recovered her money!!!! SOOO BE Careful.

if you get your phone service from your cable co. check and see if you get all the options free. I do and have call rejection, just push *60 and follow the instructions. google them and find all there phone numbers listed in web sites like this and the put them in call rejection and your phone will never ring. Also if you have selective call fwd you can program their number to call them back so they just talk to other reps

I continue to get calls from portfolio recovery. They have been informed they must speak with my lawyer. They refuse to speak with my lawyer and continue to harrass me. I am keeping notes as they continue to call. When we go to court my lawyer is going to present to the federal judge how these collectors refuse to follow the law and not bother their clients.I am interested to see what happens.

That's so ******. Answer the phone and tell them they have the wrong number. They can only take your number out of the accounts they handle, but still you'll get less calls that way. Otherwise, they'll think you're the debtor and that you're just avoiding your bills.
