I have been getting phone calls from this number for the past 2 days, I didn't answer since I didn't recognize it, and they don't leave a message. I decided to google the number to see what came up & I found this page. I am not looking forward to getting these calls on a regular basis; I think I will contact the firehouse where I last donated to see if they can help, and maybe next time they call I will ask to be taken off their list. Please, if anyone gets them to stop, post how you did it! Thank you.

It's that time a***n... they've s****ed calling a***n. I want to pick up the phone and say: "Look, I enjoy donating blood, but please don't harass me! WHAT DO YOU PEOPLE WANT FROM ME, BLOOD?"Oh.Well, the next time I donate blood, I'm not going to put my phone number on the form, and I will call the NY Blood Center and ask to be removed from the list. As it is, I get e-mails letting me know when I can donate a***n. At least if they left a message, and didn't call on a daily basis, it wouldn't be so bad.

I've been getting these calls for a few years now. I'm only now learning from you all that it is related to blood donation. When I used to pick it up, there would be no one on the other side. The trick is to to just stop picking up the calls completely. I used to get the calls all the time, now I only get them once every couple months. I think they can register if you pick up the phone, so they know it's not a dead number.

Same as with Chris, just silence on the other end. Except I get the calls less frequently, twice a week, but I'be been getting them since the middle of last year. Hadn't had one for a couple of months 'cause I donated in April, but just got one now. These folks need to clean up their act.Could it be the calling center has an incentive for making calls, but none for actually completing them?

Somebody has been calling me from this number once or even twice a day for about the last two weeks. The only thing is, when I answer there is only silence on the other end, and after getting no response I just **** up. This forum is the only way I even knew it was related to blood donation. I guess I'm lucky that I don't get ****ed into a conversation with them!

They are relentless! I donate when I can, but when they harass me it makes me procrastinate... I've received calls when I was already scheduled to donate, and even a week or two after donating I'm told they see I "haven't donated for a while." They just called me at work. When the call was transferred to my desk, they ***g up after I answered.

Same here. I don't know why they use this ****od to STALK people on the same day that I receive an email from them reminding me that I can give today. THEY CALL ME at work for goodness when I clearly asked that my number be REMOVED from their list. STOOOPPPPP!

I DONATED PLATELETS A COUPLE OF TIMES AND WHEN THEY CALL NOW THEY ASK FOR 3 0R FOUR DONATION APPOINTMENTS. I LIKE THAT THEY ARE VERY VERY NICE SO I AGREE, BUT I CAN'T GO THAT MANY TIMES. IT IS LIKE THEY ARE ****ING LIFE FROM YOU. IT WEARS YOU OUT.
