I received a call over a month ago. The caller (female) said I had a balance on my Cincinnati Enquirer subscription. I responded that I had cancelled the subscription, but I still received the Sunday paper intermittently, though not at my request. She then asked me if I wanted to re subscribe and I told her No Thank You. Then I received another Sunday paper, and since then, probably one additional. And now I get several calls every day. I don't pick up as it seems to be a waste of time. And I am on the do not call list.

I've been getting this number pop up on my missed call log twice a day for the last 7 days. We recently cancelled our Sunday subscription to the Zanesville Times Recorder, a Gannett publication, and I would bet it's from them too. Thanks for the comments here. They are really helpful. I intend to report them if they don't stop, I am on the Do Not Call list too.

I am having the same problem as most of you, I cancelled my 15+ yrs subscription to the Newark Advocate because their carriers did not know how to place the paper in the Advocate mailbox that the Advocate gave me to use!!!! So now I find the 5134512518 number on my caller ID with at least 3 calls per day! ****** PEOPLE - ****** RESULTS!!!!

i cancelled my subscription to the newark advocate and have at least one missed call per day from this number. luckily, i gave my work number so they aren't disturbing me at home. they always call late at night. how can i get these calls to stop? even though they are calling my desk phone, it's still annoying!

These jackwagons have been calling me at least 10 times a week since I canceled my Chillicothe Gazette subscription. I'm on the Nat'l Do Not Call Registry. Pretty ****ed at the harassment. How in the world do they think that will work? "Oh let's just annoy them till they give in and resubscribe!" Not a chance, buddy!

well i USE to get calls from that 513 number but i went to my state's attorney general website and filled a complaint. the results....they are not allowed to call anymore!!! but first be sure and registar at the do not call me website.

just had this number call me at 7:30pm on a sunday night.I do not have a newspaper subscription. I have NEVER had one.And if this who everyone is saying it is, then we have us a clearviolation of the FTC'd do not call law.maybe I should pursue and press charges.

I got a call from this number and answered it. The lady I spoke to sold me a Sunday-only subscription to the Newark Advocate. It has been one week since then and it is now Sunday, and I did not get a newspaper today. Was this a scam or does it just take longer than a week for a newspaper subscription to s**** up?

Did not s**** receiving these calls until I cancelled my subscription with the Lancaster Eagle Gazette, which is part of the Newspaper Network (NN) of Central Ohio. I've never bothered to answer because I didn't want to hear the sales pitch to come back.
