American Center for Law & Justice has been calling EVERY DAY, often SEVERAL TIMES PER DAY. When call goes to voicemail, caller ****s up. I called today & person answering DID NOT ANSWER WITH AGENCY NAME, ACLJ, person answering asked me to identify myself, or if a member of household was available to take a “THANK YOU CALL.” This Thank You Call ALWAYS TURNS INTO AN ADDITIONAL SOLICITATION FOR DONATIONS. I informed ACLJ REP that our household had been supportive of ACLJ for 20+ years. Constant calls from ACLJ & Thank You for your recent donation calls turning into SOLICITATION FOR ADDITIONAL DONATIONS, with attempts to continue requesting /bartering for some donation for the latest urgent cir***stance. I told ACLJ staffer that I wanted our phone number removed from their calling lists. ACLJ Rep said our number would be removed - no thank you for your years of support. I explained that the constant calling was annoying & would result in our directing contributions to other organizations. There was dead silence & I had to ask several times if the Rep was still on the line. The Rep eventually repeated that our number would be removed from call list & an abrupt disconnect. (ACLJ represents a number of worthwhile causes, but, like a number of other charitable organizations, their solicitation tactics may well result in the loss of long time supporters).
