They are a Spanish-owned bank and have been in serious trouble in the UK for the way they treat customers. Unfortunately, they go around buying out other companies/banks so that you get stuck with them without warning. My problem is that, even when you aren't late with payments, they will keep calling, let it ring once or twice and then **** up. You can pay your phone company to block their numbers but I don't know why we have to pay when they keep annoying us. Maybe we should get everyone to dial their toll free numbers, wait until their ma****e answers and go through the prompts. That will tie up their system and cost them $$$$!!

Several calls a day from this number and about 30 others . I happened to answer last week as I was curious who kept calling. It was Santander Consumer USA an auto finance co. I have had this loan for 3 years and was switched from HSBC Auto . I have been mostly on-time with the monthly paymets in 3 years sometimes a few days late but I missed a month last December ..( i'm 1 payment behind with late fees and interest $ 640/month payments ) . They harassed me and threatened me to make a payment that very day or they were going to go to put my account in*****..I told them I couldn't until 2 days later as I own my own business and get paid when others pay me . They allso wanted friends or family members they can call and hassel them if I'm late on a payment.. I told them no I'm not giving you any numbers to harrass anybody.. They said this seriously jepordizes your account if you don't. I told them sorry. I have had this account 3 years. I made a down payment of 25K and have made several extra payments of over $ 1K in the past to bring down the balance.. Like everyone else I have fallen on hard times and have been in dire straits but manage to make my car payments.. this constant calling everyday sometimes 10x a day from about 30 different numbers but no messages.. sometimes the phone rings every 10 minutes .. I will sell the car to get ride of these people and never buy a new car ever a***n..These people are rude..let them try to have their own business and see how they do in the ****y economy.. they are the sharks that feed on fresh blood of people trying to work and make a life.. maybe i'll join the forces and be an a**hole and redial America to cough up their blood sweat and tears.

Take it from me - if you have your auto loan with Santander, get out of it. Try a local credit union.Their banking practices are in question. My original loan with Sovereign has a 10 day grace period. They would call me at home, work and cell non stop even though I have not exceeded my 10 day grace period. At the tail end of my loan, they posted my payment after the 10 day mark even though I paid it 6 days prior resulting in a late fee.I am seeking further action.Take it from me, get out of it!

It was Santander Consumer USA. They called me at work today at least 4 times. One time, I was in the middle of a meeting, and the call came up on the computer in the meeting room. My vehicle payment was 8 days past due, but I didn't get paid until today. I went online, made a payment, and called them to let them know that if I get fired for getting personal calls, I will not be able to pay anyone anything. The person I spoke to told me she would put my work numbers on a do not call list. We'll see. This company took over for HSBC Auto Finance, and seem to be very "aggressive" in collecting payments. I don't believe I am going to like dealing with them if I continue to struggle in this economy.

I am going to file a lawsuit for 'Harrassment' a***nst Drive Financial & Santander Corp... I get 5 harassment calls a day and they even call me once or twice after 9 p.m. at night... They simply don't care and it is time for anyone who reads this blog to take this problem seriously and take appropriate action.(Please see below and I will tell you what need to do)... First, if you are late on a payment, they don't care as your telephone number is installed into a 'predictive dialing' computer and someone on the other end who doesn't give a **** just makes repeat calls all day long not caring who is on the other line... That is why these imbeciles don't say anything when you pick up the phone on several occasions...It would be a professional manner for these companies to call you 'once' and than a followup call weekly... This is the professional way to handle late payments...However, these deplorable people even if arrangements are made for a future payment will harrass you with several types of calls and messages, and even calls that no one is on the other end...They do this because 'harrassment calls' pay and they have found it gets payments in quicker... The problem is that you and I don't do anything about it... Here is what you need to do right NOW !Your first step is to log onto a website called the 'National Do Not Call Registry' - here is the site, copy and paste it in your web subject line: https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspxRegister your name and number and file the complaint with notes... do this on every call that is harrassing... If you informed them NOT to call you a***n, as I have many times, than there is a detailed place to put your message...Do this everyday if need be... I got this new number with a new cell provider and when they called asking for who knows, I would tell them that they have the wrong number. The more you answer the more they caller at one point more than once a day. When answered the phone they refused to talk. When called back and asked to speak with a manger, they refused. What company would handle business like this. If their phone has been turned doesnt mean the same person will have that number. People are too caught up in taking money they forgot about customer service.

The only problem with the call is the person had a huge Jamaican accent so it took me forever to figure out what they were saying.
