They have moved on from computer hackers to medical compensation. Claim to be with the FDA yet also tell you if you look up the FDA website you can't read anything about the compensation. They will not send you literature until you give them your info over the phone. Very combative when you tell them no. So foreign you can only understand about 10% of what is being said. Look out people!

Providian Financial This company has been calling my phone number and asking specifically for me for over a month. I repeatedly ask the extremely foreign speaking gentleman to quit calling me. There are numbers from Washington, California, Illinois, etc, but they won't stop calling. Most of the time I won't pick up, but engaged a conversation with the caller today. It's about medical compensation. He said he got my name and number from a hospital from surgery I had. Wanted to know personal things, which I did not answer. Wanted his number to call him back and he gave me different number than on caller id. Then asked for supervisor because I could not understand very much of what he was saying. He ignored me and continued to ask about birth control. I politely told him that I have asked him and his company to STOP calling me, and I'm on the do not call list. He then ***g up. Entire exc****e took about 5 minutes. Phone numbers used: 12/14-1:521 pm-210-280-8487 [number to call him back 408-905-0427]; 12/10-at 2:16 pm and 12/11 at 11:11 - 773-779-8763 Chicago, Il; 11/29 at 2:14 pm 352-415-0411; 11/27 at 7:04 pm 562-646-2102; 11/11 at 6:13 pm and 11/9 at 12:59 pm from Whittier, CA 562-646-2103; 11/12 from Belleview, WA at 6:02 pm from 425-460-6814. None of these phones are in service when you call them back. There were a few other calls in the period that I didn't write down or didn't catch. I did pick them up most of the time to tell them to quit calling. But I don't know how to say it in their language.

I've had Texas call all the time but usully I know its a scam. We had just put the kid to bed and didn't want the phone to wake the kid up. The walked me through some ***e ish questions. Are you the lady of the house? Are you smokers? Any allergies? Any pets? our occupations and just my first name. I didn't think anything of it. But she also mentioned that there might be a pize for helping her out. If I get another call I know its a scam for sure! ****** people call at all ours of the day and night :|

These calls are two things. First of all, your caller ID is of no use. They 'S****' the caller ID, what that means is they put in a bogus number that they stole from someone (you could be next if you answer your phone!) This way you can not call them back. You can read more at the link below. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caller_ID_s****ing Second, if you answer and get no one at the other end, it's a sequential dialer sear****g for active numbers. What it does is dial ALL the number in an area code or prefix. The line rings, you pick up and it has voice activated equipment that can detect when it hears a voice, be it actually you or your answering ma****e, it now 'knows' it has a active line. It adds it to its list, ****s up on you and progress to the next number. You phone number is worth alot of money! The computer doesn't give a hoot where you are from, they are s****ing the phone company and dialing for free! So, what can you do about this?...NOTHING!!!! Call the local phone company or your wireless provider, ask them...some will tell you they know nothing about it, others will tell you there is nothing they can do. Pretty sad when the phone companies can't even control their own networks!!!!
