I received a voice message from this number saying "Hey guys, we talked last week about lowering the interest rate on your credit cards. I have been doing some work and can get your interest rate down to 1.4% and since you are only making the minimum payment right now, this will save you a lot of money. So if you could, give me a call back at (and then gave a 1-800 number)." Knew it was a scam b/c only my immediate family has my cell phone number AND we pay off our credit card every month, only use it to earn reward points. The person leaving the message was a female.

Unsolicited call to my mobile number from (206) 496-0417. This is illegal! I am seeking where to file an official complaint. Note that unless you contact your representatives and take action yourself (ala Occupy), you will soon find that this is NOT illegal and in fact enabled by the US Government! A Republican-proposal for this is being debated now: http://www.mobiledia.com/news/116543.html "The "Mobile Informational Call Act," sponsored by U.S. Rep. I pressed "1" to speak to a representative, as this is my 3rd time getting this call. The lady who answered said, very quickly, "Would you like more information?"
