Got a call from A Indian speaking Man that claims he was a Attorney general. He claims I was going to be arrested by a Sheriff. That I took out a loan in 2011 from cash advance USA. in Austin, Texas. Every time I called back he would **** up on me. Please be very careful not to fall for his scam. I am reporting it to the Sheriff's office and Northampton County Courts. Just received a call today from a man with a thick Indian accent name supposedly John Williams. As one of the other people below experienced, I was told that there would be cops at my door tomorrow to arrest me unless I paid $400 dollars to settle a loan that had been taken out in 2011 with Cash Advance USA (BOGUS). Complete *******. As I talked with him on the phone I Googled his phone number to find out that there had been numerous other complaints filed in the same manner. Luckily I talked with the Oregon Attorney General's Office (where I live) and the Texas office where he was calling from just for peace of mind. This John Williams freaked me to the point where I decided to go to my old bank and have them print out all transactions from 2011 just for peace of mind. The word "Arrest" just brings intense fear and panic! It didn't end there, later in the afternoon another strong-Indian-accented man called saying he was from the Multnomah County Sheriffs office (in Oregon) and that this supposed John Williams had faxed him the information and that I would now be officially arrested unless I called back and paid. No plans to call this Whack-a-mole back. Just sincerely hope that others who might receive this disturbing call do some research and not allow emotions and intimidation to ****er them in to actually paying.

This person called telling me that he was from The State Attorney General office and was demanding payment of 400.00 usa to him for a Loan I DID NOT not take out from Cash Advance in 2011. I spoke to an Officer Graham at the freeport Texas police department who told me that this person is calling all over and demanding always the same amount of Money $400.00 to avoid being caught and charged this man always asks for anything under 500.00 because anything over 500 is considered Grand theft. I have also spoken to the victim department at The Texas State attorney General office and was told he is being sought. I have just tried to call him back and he did not answer the phone but has an answering ma****e stating he is the state attorney General office.. He is NOT! This person has a very heavy accent and was rude and s****ed talking very broken english. I contacted the State Attorney General office and the Freeport Texas police department and they are aware of him and his Number is a s**** number and possibly a throw away phone.
