Received call from unknown number. Robot call about credit card being compromised. I decided to press 1 and a Man with middle eastern/indian accent was saying my credit card had been compromised and he needed some info (SSN, etc). I knew he was a fraud but asked was asking him some questions to get info to report and when I asked what company he worked for he said "your bank" I asked "Which one?" and he said "Chase, Bank of America, etc" and I said "Well I dont' use any of those" We went round and round and I kept asking "What company do you work for...what is your phone number" And when I said "you're obviously a b.s. scammer because I'm on the do not call list and don't have a credit card" And he was beligerent calling me a SOB MF'r. I posted about it on FB and several friends reported having the same calls all from a man with Middle Eastern/ Indian accent and being belligerent. One of my friends captured his phone number ***-312-8877 which is in Sarasota Springs FL. There are many internet reports a***ns this number so why has he not been found, charged with fraud and stopped?

Two things amaze: One, these folks continue to get away with this without being caught. Two, people actually fall for this poorly disguised attempt to collect credit card information from people. Apparently they are making enough money on this scam to warrant continuing it for months. Of course, I'm also amazed that people respond to email spam as well so maybe I'm just easily amazed at the ******ity of people. I actually them a credit card number. It was for an American Express Gift card that had a zero balance. They got all excited when they got that number that they put me through to someone who spoke better English. However, apparently they can't process AMX cards so they asked me for another card number. It was at that point I told them to Kiss My****. I wish I had thought of insulting his mother instead.

They call to lower your credit card interest rate. They say, I'm looking at your most recent statement and ask "what is your highest rate card, MC or Visa?" You answer and they say "ok, i'm pulling up your most recent statement and ask "what is the issueing bank". I know this is a scam so I use a bank where I do not have a card. They say, ok, I'm looking at your statement. What is the expiration date and last 8 digits. I know that banks have the same first 8 numbers. Ha- this is now comical so I say, you're looking at my statement, you should have that information. He says "I do, but you need to prove it's you by providing the numbers". At this point, I tell him I know it's a scam and **** up. Then he calls me back from another number and asks why did I **** up on him. I say that I know it's a scam and will report on number guru....then he ****s up.

The caller was agressive and began using horrible language on me when I asked him to remove me from their mailing list. He began cursing and repeatedly called me until I answered a***n the second time. I asked him if he lost his mind, and he proceeded to threaten me for ****ing up on him. I'm completing an FBI Claim as well.
