I have received numerouse call's and alway's the same threat's from this company. It's alway's the man alway's has a thick accent and a weird name like dave peters, steve poindexter ect. and claiming they are a senior officer at this lawfirm. Then they continue to be rude and offencive and go on about do not speak intil i finish presenting the issue here. They go on to tell me i owe money for a payday loan that I know I had taken care of. I try to ask them to share information with me like what company was it ect who are you what firm do you supposedly work for it alway's c****e's said jeffey and jeffey or so****ing. One of these guy's went as far as telling me a fake state bar id number ect i researches it was for california he claimed he was in texas but the number show's it's in florida. I refused to confirm or deny any info he had on me was correct. And i told them to send me the info in writing.then they proceed to tell me they are goin to download the file and sue me if i don't pay them by a certain time and send the police to my door have me served, the whole nine yard's sayin this call is being recorded by the courts. It's absurd! I did some reporting contacted the state attorney's office they said do not give them anything they have to send it in writing. then i have 30 day's to dispute it.Then when they called I informed them i called the authority's about them and told them i was informed they are a scam and if they have a legit claim for a debt to send it in the mail. they still refuse. one of the last call's was bad the guy s****ed yelling at me i hope you like jail sir. you are gonna miss your family and lose your job. Absolutly ruthless. But i contunued to remind him that threatening me is a***nst the law and they are operating illegally needless to say the police have never show up and taken me to jail and still nothing in the mail no paper's being served. just the harassing phone call's. WHAT DO I DO TO END THIS! i reported them to everyone i could think of i worked as a telemarketer for a bit unfortunatly so i was also aware of who to contact so far. I just want them to stop calling.

I also received the same exact call you did today. I was afraid of going to jail so I paid them 400 dollars. They told me if I do not pay them i will go to jail the next day, tomorrow. I am very nervous, but did go to the bank stopped the payment and called the police. The police called them four times ***g up on them three times and then the fourth time told them they were uneducated. The police department is doing an investigation on them for me. I am glad I read your letter, I think i will call them back tomorrow and tell them that I too talked the the attorny general and see what they say. I feel better after reading these that i will not be going to jail because with my job that would not look good.

just for your information you cannot go to jail for an uncollected debt. Its a civil case not a criminal case.
