I was called by someone claiming to be with a law firm trying to collect charged off debt and telling me I was about to be served if I did not pay. When I told them sounds like old debt they said I signed an agreement in 2016 that renewed the debt for ten more years but refused to provide this alleged signed agreement. The emailed me a settlement agreement that provided ****e to put my payment information. I did not pay. The letterhead read Montgomery and****ociates which does not exist on google search and the address listed is a ****e available for lease. The mediator listed is Lawrence Thomas and I found on reddit that it’s a name commonly used on legal scams. They are calling my relatives telling them that I need to sign court do***ents. It’s a terrible scam once thEy latch onto you.
