Same, adopted a pet. ****ing up my phone
(877) 291-1524
Actually.... I did adopt a pet 2 days ago and today (a Monday) this number is calling my cell. Obviously I didn't answer -- if I don't recognize the #, the call does not get answered. Anywho..... part of my adoption packet included a free 30-day pet health insurance. I have done NOTHING to activate this free health insurance, but the pet adoption center did some "entering of personal information" into their system. Interesting stuff, man!

This is NOT spam because technically it is a SCAM and it is NOT PerSmart who is calling. It is a fake number and originates outside of the USA through VOIP across the internet. What the scammer does is say they are calling from PetSmart and they offer an incredibly low price health plan for your pet. Idiots take the bait and then the scammer asks that you pay by credit card. The idiot who falls for this then provides their credit card info and BOOM, you have instantaneous IDEN***Y THEFT. Next time you receive ANY call from a number you do not recognize, don't answer. If they are legit, they'll leave a message with contact details and you can verify on-line.
