I'm getting calls from these people and I'm supposedly a reference number , there trying to get me to call a friend for them , I told them I don't talk with this person anymore , and to take me off there call list. I just got a call from this man who, like "Jrnationgal88" said, claimed to work for M. Callahan and****ociates.He never calls and speaks to you live but rather leaves a voicemail stating that you must call him back at 866-402-4043.I called him back to tell him to remove my number from his call list because I had been receiving calls from him weekly and had no idea who he was.So he answered the phone, I gave him my phone number and told him to remove it from his list. He was rude and in a harsh manner told me to repeat the number. I told him to be more polite and professional. He got very angry and asked, "Would you like to just speak to the judge? You can tell him to be more polite." Then he puts down the phone and yells out, "Hey, can you connect this woman to the judge, she thinks she can tell people what to do!" No one responded to him, and there was no background noise. He sounded completely alone. Then, he puts me on hold. I ***g up.Within five minutes, I called him back. He answered, and I told him, as I had before, to remove my phone number from his call list. He claimed that he doesn't call people, he just talks. Then he said he could not find my phone number and that he would need more information from me to find my file and remove my number from his list. I said that he obviously had my number because I kept getting calls from him. He said, "Obviously you aren't understanding this very simple point, honey." Then he s****ed rambling and giggling. He also claimed to be an attorney. I said, "I don't care. Just remove my number."After much incoherent drivel on his part, I ended the conversation by saying, "You sound crazy. Just remove me from your list."This guy is a complete lunatic. He is a scammer, not an attorney. I have the feeling he was completely alone and ***** on his toilet while making the calls.

I too received one of these calls, on 3/16/11 at 12:13 P.M. while traveling through Vermont. The caller (who left a message) sounded indignant and claimed he'd tried to contact me "numerous times" and demanded a return call from me or else the attorney representing me. (Since I am not being represented by an attorney, I suspected this was a scam, and that I might incur a fee for returning the call.) The calls are coming from 802-448-9081. There is no 448 exc****e in Vermont, so I suspect this person is using a 's**** box' to mask his real calling number.

These people are calling my home as well and let me tell you Its M Callahan and****ociates and from the research I have found they are scams so dont give them any money. There are some other posts on here from dealings with this companies and the are a debt collector not lawyers as they say.

This number calls me 2-3 times per month, demanding that I need to call them back within 24hrs otherwise i will have state action. Called them nearly 5-6 times and all they want is credit card info and money. Beware they're a scam
