I have received two calls similar to this, asking for our IP Address because we have a virus, and they need access to our computer. Both callers were male and have Indian accents. They say they are from MICROSOFT but ARE NOT. I have filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/#&panel1-1 and encourage everyone else to do so. This supposed toll-free number was 855-823-2062 but when called back it doesn't go through.

Same deal.. Indian voice telling me they are getting error messages from my computer. He told me the name of his company but I could barely understand it. He said his company is calling in behalf of Microsoft. Well since I'm an Apple guy I knew this was BS right away... Lol

Some Indian guy called to tell me that my computer was giving off viruses to Microsoft. He wanted me to go to a website and download a program. I know only the F.B.I. can only trace a computer pass the Internet company. I had fun with this Ignoramus for about a half an hour . Who are we to have 1 computer to mess up a Microsoft Server? Are they really in that bad shape? If you get these calls, keep them on the line and maybe if you waste their time, they will leave other people alone.

A woman with a heavy Indian accent asked for me by name. Said so****ing about my computer not being protected. She was from Microsoft and she was receiving ***al errors from windows. That's what I could make out of what she was saying. She asked me to turn my computer on. This is a scam to get access to your computer, beware.
