Florida State University's FSU Alert emergency notification and warning system. When you call back, you get a recording with emergency information.

Most of you are *****s...there isn't a university in America that doesn't make these calls. It is not fsu being greedy, it is them trying to provide education to as many people as possible. Crist and his ****** budget cuts are dramatically effecting FSU, UF, UCF and all the other publically funded universi***es in the state. They will be losing banner professors to other schools and have already began cutting or combining several departments. For those of you who have graduated, you should be sure that the department you received your degree from isn't going under. Having a degree from a defunct school is certainly not an ideal situation to be in. If you hate it so much, either answer the call and have yourself removed from the list or continue hitting the ignore ****on. It's not like they pester you with messages if you reject the call. Neither option is really a back breaking task.

1 Thagard is not FREE. 2) Do you know the % of students that actually use the buses AND they are still charged every semester without the option of declining. 3) I think the cost paid per class pays for what you get even if it's taught by a professor but like I said before most of them are taught by grad students. Grad students that were recently pe***ioning the University for healthcare and better salaries like they get at other FL universities. I believe our beloved President told them to stay at Alumni Village and save money instead! I stayed in Slumni Village and it's not pretty. Call me after the Great Depression II is over and we can talk.

I just got a call from this number. I think I will answer the phone next time and ask if they will be using any of the donations to keep quality professors and stop allowing so many TAs that are learning on the fly to conduct cl***** and not giving the education at least my parents and I thought we were paying for. "If you had a good time...etc you should give back". FSU didn't pay me to go there I paid them tuition and books. They can keep calling and when earn more than what I've already paid them I will think about giving.

08 BIH- How could you attend a university that provided YOU with FREE services (such as thagard health center, the career center, Safe Bus etc.)and call them greedy??? Sounds to me like you're the greedy one. GREEDY GREEDY GREEDY... Oh and by the way, the tuition you paid doesn't cover the total cost of attending FSU. The rest was paid by CHARITABLE donors unlike yourself.

As annoying as the calls everyday are, you all need to relax. If you dont want to give just answer the phone and tell them that, they will quit calling.

The FSU foundation has been calling Alumni since before all of you were even students, they have been able to fund scholarships, and any extra benefits that FSU has to offer. It is also employing students, while having flexible hours and provides a great environment for a full-time student. They are a non-profit organization that calls on behalf any college, or****ociation (alumni****oc.) that requests help raising money. If you had to work while you were in school, I am sure you know how hard it was to work decent hours and still be able to make ends meet while you were in college. Take it easy on these kids, they are just trying to do their jobs, and not everything is covered by tuition, so all these extra funds need to come from somewhere. Our Alma Mater is struggling with the budget cuts the government is expecting them to work off of.If you had a good time at FSU, then why find it so hard to give back??? All this non-profit organization is trying to do is make the experience of future students as fun as yours was...

The people calling you are students just trying to do their job. If you no longer want to receive phone calls, you can pick up your phone and kindly ask to be taken off the list for good. That is all. Just remember the people on the other line are just doing what they have been instructed to do.

Indeed, 7 PM on Sa****ays (they just called), and on other evenings too, including Sunday nights. Usually when I'm studying! I am graduating in one week with my one and only degree from FSU, and the frequency of calls has been increasing over the past few weeks. Yet another reason to NOT donate money to FSU.

cc- They most likely have your number and really want your parents number instead. No one can know for sure if all the information is correct when they call. That is why they call, so they can make sure all the information is correct.
