Characteristically, the owner seeks an email number to which they want to send a text message to "confirm" ad validity. When they given the storage company address, they persist in seeking a cell number, or the cell number of a friend. Multiple similar responses have been received.

caller s****ed with a text claiming to be the victim's bank and advised of fraud on the account. the victim later received a call from this number and was scammed out of thousands of dollars when the caller "helped" the victim set up a new account.
