They're at it a***n. I just got a call on my cell from 1-847-488-3003 looking for someone else with the same last name as me. I get these about once every couple years. I think they must have me mixed up with someone with the same last name and an ss# that is a couple digits off my own. I told her there wasn't anyone here by that name and she read me off my phone number to confirm that was the number she was calling. I told her it was my number, how long I'd had it, and what my name was. I also told her to please remove me from her "list". I did block list the number a***n! She never even told me who was calling before I ***g up. Before I let her go I should have told her I was the****istant Attorney General for my state and listened for how far her foot was going down her throat.

I proceeded to call the number back and it said "Thank you for calling us back, this is Chase Card Services please enter your 16 digit card number" So hearing that I proceeded to call the number on the back of my Chase credit card then was transferred to the Fraud department. They looked up my account and said that they did not try and call me, and to not give out my personal information to this number. They said they would notate the account and took the phone number to follow up. THIS NUMBER IS FRAUD. DO NOT GIVE OUT PERSONAL INFORMATION. REPORT IT TO THE DO NOT CALL REGISTRY!

However, here is where the mystery deepens.I talked to Jackie at her house in Idaho, and she doesn't have a Chase Charge Card, and never has. However, she is behind on her Sears Citibank Card, since she lost her job. Interestingly enough, three hours earlier, I received a phone call from 866-749-7275, with the same woman from India asking for Jackie. This number belongs to GC Services, LP., which is a debt collection agency from Elgin, Illinois. S****ing mystery solved!

Caller called asking to speak to someone who had my first name, but a different surname. I told her I do not know the person. She asked if the number she called was the right number, I told her it is my cell phone which I have had for several years but I do not know anyone with the last name she was asking about. Don't know if this is Chase or not, but I do have two Chase accounts (biz and pers), both UP TO DATE. (I pay my Chase accts online.) For three days I've been receiving about 8 calls per day. They never leave a message. I do not answer because I don't recognize the number. Does anybody know how our cell phone numbers are obtained (if we don't give them out)? If this is a SCAM, why don't they just give up and move on to their next target?

How do these people get our numbers, and if it's a SCAM, why don't they just move on to the next ****er? 24 calls to me (so far) seems like a lot of trouble to go to to possibly get personal information. I do have a chase card, I sent out the payment last month 2 weeks later there calling me for another payment, saying it is due on the 2, well anyway I received the newpayment due on the 7 , I told them it wasnt even close to the due date and stop calling but they still persist , they dont leave a message . Cant really understand them when they call.Still calling 5 times a day.

The card number on the back of my Chase card is not a 847 number (I live in the Chicago area, 847 is a local area code). I just find it odd and will be walking into a local ***nch.

I read how this number might be a scam so I returned the phone call left on my message (@ 800-217-5964)and turned the tables on them. I played a foreigner with heavy accent and limited English and totally frustrated the guy. Tried to get my SS# to look up the account - said I don't have one. He tells me that I was living in this country illegally and was getting a bit upset and hostile ... it was hilarious. He finally ***g up on me! LOL!

I told him I was 2 seconds away from calling the FBI and he then asked for my phone number.
