I got a call from this number, and tried to call them back, as the notes below say it is HSBC. The call could not be completed as dialed. Also, I HAD an account with them that is paid off and closed, yet I got this call AND an email from them today saying my account is overdue.

This is a scam, when you really ask them if they are really HSBC the caller says" We represent HSBC" a total lie. Do NOT give them your social sec number or any account information. then call the real HSBC company and report the number to HSBC supervisor that they are lying about who they are. This is the real HSBC problem NOT yours the customer. they have hacked HSBC accounts for your number and information.

I think it's HSBC. I have one of their cards and it's a pain in the ****. I can't get a hold of them. Their customer service is pathetic. I can't even get a live person, just an automated system that keeps going in circles. Left them a message stating I'd just wait for them to call me since their system was so EASY TO UNDERSTAND. hahahah Why am I not surprised with this phone call. Says my name and to hit 1 and then I have dead silence........... go figure. I think I'll wait until Capital One takes over and try a***n. :)

From HSBC Bank. No outstanding anything from HSBC and calls are usually unanswered/leave no message/just hand up calls. May be trying to update my card account by trying to sell me insurance and other stuff I don't need. I don't know-they don't say anything.

I got a call. Caller ID read HSBC. I didn't answer the first time though I have an HSBC account and they left no message. 10 minutes later they called back when I was headed out the door. There was a brief silence and then an automated voice came on and said they were looking for (now a computer voice interrupts, think Wargames as in "do you want to play a game?'") and says the name: "Eugene so****ing or other. You press a ****on to say you're not Eugene and another to say they have the wrong number. Even as I'm typing this the phone rings a***n. Hmm . . . I wonder who it can be? Well, it's not HSBC but Travellink. Apparently, by pressing two ****ons, I've opened the portal for all spammers to enter. Good grief!!!
