I just got the very same call, saying they are from the Government, and that I have just been awarded a government grant of $85000., and am sick and tired of this! Over the past week I have been barraged with calls from India, trying to defraud me. They have used stories from the grant award, to saying they are a legal dept representing some loan company that is suing me, to saying they are a loan company that has pre-qualified me for a loan; ALL, ultimately asking for my bank acct information or credit card information. All the numbers they use; that show on my caller ID, are non-working numbers. I have told them my number is on the National Do-Not-Call list, so they need to remove my number from their call list, but none of this doing any good. If they're not IN the USA, the laws protecting us here, can't touch them. Aside from c****ing my number, I do not know what can be done to stop these thieves. C****ing my number is just too sad a thing for me to have to do, as I have people I have lost numbers to; that have my number, and in time, they call me so I can get their numbers a***n. In my younger years, I was a world traveler, and this is how I have found some of my many, old friends from my world travels. If I c****e my number, I will definitely lose these special people from my life. As a result, c****ing my number is just not an option. All I can do is hope these thieves will eventually drop me from their lists. In the meantime, I cannot even stop answering these calls, as one of them just may be one of those old friends, from somewhere that is not local to me anymore. Blocking the numbers that called me costs money, and they c****e the numbers they use as often as we c****e our socks, so this is a useless cost to add to my limited, fixed income. I am old, disabled, and need peace, but this is causing my heart to palpitate, it's raising my blood pressure, and sometimes, now, even giving me chest pains. No matter what you do, DO NOT EVER GIVE THESE CALLERS YOUR FINANCIAL INFORMATION, OR YOUR ss#. They are calling from third world countries, and are not only des***ute, they are ruthless in their quest to get American money, and American IDs so they can use them, or sell them to others in their countries, to use for ***ning access to entering the USA. The information they DO have on you is no more than your name, address, and phone number, or they would not be calling you to get more information... They are most likely people who have worked for corporations from here, that outsourced their technical support departments, or other jobs to these countries. THEY ARE DESPERATE, and VERY, VERY dangerous! There is no point in trying to talk to these people to even tell them you are on the Do-Not-Call list. Just **** up on them the moment you suspect they are fraudsters, and hopefully they will eventually DROP you from their stolen call lists; they will, if they deem your number to be a waste of their time and resources to call. Don't give them the chance to argue with you; they WILL, and these arguments can hurt you emotionally, and through that, physically. NOTE: Look at the many photos of higher class homes in the third world countries; they all have high privacy walls around their homes with razor wire on the tops of those walls. These third world thieves ARE DANGEROUS, and the people living there know it. I know, because I lived in a third world county a few years ago. I also had the razor wire, as well as a night security guard, because the thieves there make our American thieves look like kindergarteners; when they enter your home at night, they do not try to be quiet to steal from you while you sleep. They WILL **** you, and steal from your home, and your dead body. REMEMBER, THESE PEOPLE ARE DANGEROUS! DO NOT ARGUE WITH THEM; JUST **** UP THE MOMENT YOU REALIZE THEY ARE FRAUDSTERS.

This number called me 3 days in a row and never left a vm so on day 4 when they called I answered, they asked if this was Ashley and I said yes and they ***g up. I just s****ed a business a couple of weeks before this so I have my name on my vm and never thought twice about why theyd know my name.

continue to get these calls. If I answer its as if they already ***g up. Call back- says non working number. They have left voicemails (probably on accident) and it is just noise and then some words in a language i am not sure exists lol. I just want them to stop! TY all for your posts!!! GL!

Truly this is a spammer. This is a company trying to get your personal information so they can sell it to other companies, so they continue to call you. They literally called my phone today and yes****ay about 40 times. Just an FYI and when you call it back it says it is a non-working number.

Calls me everyday for the past few months i jus answered an they said i wan 8,500 dollars and i know **** well young black 20 year olds who smoke **** aint gettin nothin from this gov't!

Calls and ****s up when I answer or they state that I have won some money in a contest that I never entered. When I say I haven't entered a contest they **** up

called TWENTY times today .. not kidding .. **** up when i answer and when i try to call back, it say's it's a non-working number

i missed a call form this number and when i called back i got a recording saying it was a non working number...

I reported the number to the FBI. ***king idiots are so ****** saying they r a government authority. good luck in prison!!!
