I answered and it's a girl named Jessica
(818) 251-1738 - May 3rd, 2011 4:00am
The voicemail said "Hi, this is Jessica, please call me back at 818-251-1738 and refer to reference number ######."It sounded scammy, but it turned out not to be. I called back and they told me that I had an outstanding bill from LA DWP for X amount. I told them that I didn't feel comfortable issuing them a payment and that I would contact LADWP directly.I went to LADWP.com and found that I did in fact have a final bill I forgot to pay for X amount.Don't just take my word for it, though. Call the people they say you owe directly and look up their number yourself.
