As of wednesday november 12 all cell phone numbers went public being realesed to telemarketing companies. To prevent these undesired toll calls, call the following number from your cell phone: 888-382-1222. It is the National DO NOT CALL list. It will only take a minute of your time or if you don't trust the number go online @ www.donotcall.gov, if you decide to call you must call from the cell phone number you want to have blocked. You cannot call from a different phone number.Either option will block your number from telemarketers permanently, your registration will not expire. Telephone numbers placed on the National Do Not Call Registry will remain on it permanently due to the Do-Not-Call Improvement Act of 2007, which became law in February 2008. Read more about it at http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2008/04/dncfyi.shtm.

This call is from a company that uses fake caller ID's and a computer to all every number in sequence. That way they get all unlisted numbers as well as all cell phone numbers. They think that only rich people have unlisted numbers or cell phones. And rich people have new cars and can afford extended warrantees. So that's their target audiance. They don't care if 98% of the calls go to people who can barely afford a cell phone, much less a new car...becasue failures don't cost them anything. They use a series of fake caller ID numbers to stop people from calling back and tying up their phone lines.

Yeah, I keep getting this number as a missed call on my CELL phone - I'm not going to call back since I checked it out on Google and saw that it's apparently some scam about car warranties. I've been getting several odd 9phone calls from other numbers lately too - all show up as bogus on Google and other sites. Must be a sign of hard times...the crooks always come out in droves when the economy is bad. Creeps!

This is a third-party telemarketing company generating leads for Auto One Warranty Specialists who can be reached at 888-978-7709. One of the insurance packages Auto One offers is called the Dura**** Protection Plan. Dura**** can be reached at 888-771-5656.Call that first number and they will reluctantly admit to you that it is them. They will also claim to take you off of their call list, but they'll probably keep calling anyway.

It is a scam. They get your credit card number and use it to run up huge amounts purchasing items over the phone. Since they are out of state the local police cannot pursue them. They have destoyed thousands of lives by driving people into situations where they have to defend themselves from people trying to collect money for purchses on the card numbers stolen by these people.

This phone number called me twice today. I missed the calls thankfully but as I looked the number up I realized it was the Car Warranty phone calls I keep getting. I told these people to take me off their call list a long time ago.
