Text saying su****ious activity on my CapitalOne account with amount charged at Walgreens. Looked legit. I replied no I did not make this charge. Received reply saying a representative would call. The caller was definitely a scammer and ***g up. No notifications from Capital One regarding su****ious activity on line or via email.

I was called by this number on August 12th, 2026. They told me that someone was trying to use my debit card to purchase over $1,000 of merchandise in a Target in TX. I live in GA and was immediately shocked so I opened up my banking app and did not see this pending transaction. I turned off my debit card just in case. Then I told them I assumed they were a spam call and hung up.

That my card was compromised, being used in SLC, UT at a Target. Gave me the first 8 numbers of the card and tried to pressure me into giving him information I was uncomfortable giving. Told me I could go to a ***nch and rectify, but tried to insinuate it could delay processes and overdraft charges might rack up. None of it seemed legit.

This is a scammer that is representing Wells Fargo Fraud dept. DO NOT give them ANY info! They got me once already and thought they could do it again. When i went to hit my record button to record the call he hung up after he asked me what i said.

The person at this phone number was trying to scam me. Out of two hundred dollars claimed they were amazon. I got the number from looking up. Amazon customer service, this was the number that was on google for amazon
