by using mr number and number guru and other apps that are similar it helps you to build a block caller list. yes, sometimes the number still rings through but at least it will block them from leaving a message and with more than one call blocker, the number WILL get blocked from your phone at some point. sometimes it needs to come through so the system can recognize it and block it the next time. i know it's annoying, but be patient. it is well worth it. i have so many numbers blocked that now i only get one to two spam calls a month. not bad from getting multiple calls every single day. forget the dnc list, that is a joke. just be diligent and take control of your phone. you may have to do a little work to make it happen, but in the long run, it is WELL worth it.

This number called my cell phone. I answered out of curiosity. They said they were from "Home Protection" and were looking for advertisment homes in my area. They wanted to install a home security system in my home and have me advertise with a sign in my yard since they grow their business based on word of mouth. They then asked if I owned my home and what my name was. I refused to give any information since I have no clue if this is legit or not and seemed fishy to me.

Yes they are annoying spammers trying to sell security systems. I asked where they got my number, they replied from one of their online partners. Well I'm on the do not call list & I do not give out my cell number so apparently they robo dial.

I look up every unknown number (which I don't answer)--If it is SPAM i set the number in my phone contacts as SPAM and give it a specific ringtone so i know not to bother to answer my phone.
