I was never a member of Ancestry.com and I'm getting calls from this number on my new work phone.

You guys need to calm down, you sound like fools. All it is, is Ancestry.com's customer service calling to see if you are enjoying the service or having any problems. It makes NO DIFFERENCE if you are on the do not call list, because as soon as you do business with someone- they have the right to call you. Some of you sound like you just sit around waiting for someone to call so you have so****ing to complain about, jeez.

I just got the same call. The very polite rep. just wanted to know how I liked the service, and let me know about a "learning" tool that is on the site. SHE WASN'T TRYING TO SELL ANYTHING. It took less than one minute. They have not sold your phone number to another company; at least not as evidenced by this call.

I just now received a phone call from them as well. I find calls such as this to be very annoying. Thank heavens I'm still in the trial period. I'll be cancelling the trial membership just as soon as I'm finished with this comment.

It is Ancestry.com and they asked how I was liking the service and if there was any help they could provide in an specific area of research that I was conducting. This call came in about 2 weeks after I signed up for the service as well as put a bid out, on the service, for a very specific research study. They were not selling anything and had not sold my number.

I got a call and called the number back. It was the ancestry.com customer service department just asking how I liked their service. No one is selling your information.
