This number (800) 949-3240 Keeps calling our house too. I****umed it was a collection agency, but all debts I had are over 10 yrs old and past the staute of limitations or satisfied. I read that some debt companies buy old debts that can't be legally collected anymore and try to scam people into thinking they still owe the money. Just **** up or block this number.

I don't know which number called. The answering ma****e picked up a recording of a woman with a British accent. She said it was an important call for So-and-so (not at this number); if you are So-and-so, push one; if you are not So-and-so, After three or four repe***ions of that, the recording gave up and said to call 1-800-949-3240 using a particular reference number.

Received call from this number today. Voicemail message left was automated voice with my husband's name saying it was not a sales call and asking him to call back to this number with a reference code they provided.

This has got to be a bill collector. They have a strong english accent on the recording and they have a hard time saying my name and it is a real common name. Gives me this number and asks to call back and give them my file number that they read off to me too. Caller ID had it as pretty much a local call. They must use Magic Jack and have a different number for every area code.

My answer ma****e picked up the call. The caller ID is 919-724-4379, but they left an AUTOMATED message to call 1-800-949-3240. When I called, got a recording (cannot complete call as dialed) I don't have a clue who this is.
