(I DO NOT answer calls from unknown names or numbers, but keep a record of the number, name if shown, time of day and date. This number has called two days in a row, it rings 10-12 times. So will be BLOCKED.) I find that this is the BEST way to decrease unwanted calls.)

I receive calls from 800-927-2291 and 800-827-6655 several times a day and most annoying are the calls that come in after 7:00 p.m. as I have to get up at 2:00 a.m. to go to work so I go to bed early. I have answered these calls and they were from Sears telling me my warranty was about to expire and they wanted to extend it. I have told them that I do not want the extended warranty but they keep calling anyway. How do you get them to stop!!!
(800) 927-2291 - September 2nd, 2010 4:00am

I was out of town for one week, and received 7 drooped calls from this number over 6 days. Even if it is Sears, with whom we do business, they could at least show that on the ID, and leave a message

Sears card calling about ID Protection...won't leave a message. I had to use *69 to find out the caller...then looked up the number to verify. I agree with all of the below: they are calling at all hours everyday of the week. And, I have been trying to resolve a credit issue where I returned merchandise to Kmart and do you think ANYONE FROM SEARS/KMART CORPORATE will call me back to remove the charges from my card??? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Won't use this card a***n!
(800) 927-2291 - July 30th, 2010 11:36am
In spite of telling sears that we have moved and no longer even own the appliances in question, they continue calling and never leave a message. NO MORE SEARS Warranty
(800) 927-2291 - July 29th, 2010 4:00am
They call me about everyday and I never answer it. I finally called it back just now and a recording came on saying "Thank you for choosing Sears Protection Agreements..." and continued about pressing 1 for this and 2 for that....I ***g up. I don't know why they call me. I don't have a Sears Credit card and have not purchased anything that would need a protection agreement!!

They call everyday I'm tired of it.
(800) 927-2291 - April 23rd, 2010 12:45pm
they have called several times under the caller id " Toll Free". I blocked my caller id and called them back and it is Sears. When I asked to be removed from their list, they wanted complete information on me - giving them just my phone number that they were calling was not enough. I will go to the local Sears store and LOUDLY complain. If lots of us did this, they would stop
(800) 927-2291 - March 22nd, 2010 3:10pm
Someone from this number has called me everyday (including Sunday) for the last two weeks. Some days they call 2-4 times. I work nights and have turned off my phone during the days while I am trying to sleep. I see this number on caller ID and they don't leave a message.
(800) 927-2291 - March 12th, 2010 1:14pm
Calls all the time wakes people up. Privacy violation. Will stop doing buisness with Sears over this poor management choice.

1-800-927-2291 calls every day of the week, including Sunday, several times per day. We hold no credit card balances more than 30 days, and are never late, so rule out debt collection. We signed up on the Federal "Do Not Call" list, yet calls like this still persevere.

Calls constantly and won't answer when phone is picked up. Do not call a***n. I have grandchildren sleeping.
(800) 927-2291 - November 14th, 2009 1:48pm
To Marie, yes Sears IS that desperate. So****ing I learned from my grand***her, the harder they try, the worse the deal. Warranties are extremely high profit items. Why do you think everywhere you buy so****ing they try and scare you into buying an extended warranty. Because it is nearly 98% pure profit. If it was that necessary to have they would factor it into the cost of the item and it would be a standard feature. When you buy one in the store the sales person gets a cut, the store manager gets a cut and Sears gets the rest. Sears wanted me to buy a 1 year warranty on my dishwasher that was about 1/3 the cost of a new one. Insanely high profits on an unneeded item.
(800) 927-2291 - November 13th, 2009 7:56pm
I have been receiving multiple calls in hour and often minute intervals every single day from 800-927-2291 and
(800) 927-2291 - November 9th, 2009 5:00am
After getting several calls daily from these ****s,and not picking up, I decided to s**** picking up, then immediately ****ing up. This forces them to pay for the call, but more importantly it lets someone - or so****ing (computer?) know that the calls are not welcome. Will this work - who knows?
(800) 927-2291 - November 8th, 2009 12:20pm
These folks have called daily for the past week without leaving a message.

(800) 927-2291 - October 15th, 2009 12:46am
Still another DAILY repeat offender. Whatever tax money is being spent to fund the Do Not Call program could be better utilized. A perfect example of government waste.

5th call in 2 days. i expect another one in an hour, and the hour after that until 9 P.M. We don't own any Sears products and now we never will!
(800) 927-2291 - October 2nd, 2009 1:06pm
Sears Protect calls every hour. We don't own any Sears products!
(800) 927-2291 - October 1st, 2009 9:36pm
Sears calls many many many times a day seven days a week! One of the callers even tried to get my cell phone number from the babysitter that answered our phone. She was horrified when they yelled at her when she wouldnt give it!! Sears no more business from me!!
(800) 927-2291 - October 1st, 2009 8:11pm
Multiple calls per day. Never anyone on the phone, never leavs a message.
(800) 927-2291 - July 24th, 2009 4:00am
This gratuitous calling is extremely counterproductive for Sears. We are customers who have a Sears mastercard, but calling our number does not generate good feelings even a**** Sears customers. Please rethink this so-called marketing strategy
(800) 927-2291 - June 30th, 2009 4:00am
They call several times per day, every day. It's so bothersome. I am on the no call list. I picked up the phone today and didn't say anything. I just listened to them and they knew my last name. Childish as it was I just kept pushing ****ons in their ear and ***g up.
(800) 927-2291 - March 24th, 2009 4:00am
I receive countless calls from this number like all the others. I finally called it back today. It is the Sears Protection Agreeement line. I can only****ume they are trying to extend your warranties, etc. If you've ever bought anything from Sears with a warranty I****ume you have been added to this list, which is why they are able to call you even if you are on the do not call list. If you call the number, dont push any ****ons for selection, you will be transferred to a person. I told her they call daily and I dont need any Protection Agreements so I needed them to stop calling. She took me off the list while on the phone.
(800) 927-2291 - February 4th, 2009 5:00am
This number appears on my caller ID just about everyday.Sometimes more than once a day. They never leave a message.Tonight, I answered at (8:48pm)that is kind of late for them to call...and told them to stop calling *****en I ***g-up.I will have to see if that works.I have had problems in the past with things getting mailed to me after I asked them not to and companies that have provided services that were not what they promised. So, I filed with the BBB and they have helped me out. That might be an option and if enough people file.It is easy and you can do it online.
(800) 927-2291 - December 5th, 2008 5:00am
This number calls me at least 6 times a day! EVERYDAY!!! Shows up as TOLL FREE CALL. I don't answer because I do not recognize the number. It is quite annoying because they call me at home and at work even though my home number is registered with the Do Not Call registry. Someone PLEASE find a way to stop them!!!
(800) 927-2291 - October 17th, 2008 4:00am
This number keeps calling my house but never leaves a message
(800) 927-2291 - May 6th, 2008 4:00am
Everyday when I get home from work I have approximately eight UNKNOWN NAME calls on my caller I.D. with no voice mails. On the weekend my phone rings from morning to night non-stop - all UNKNOWN NAME. Most of the calls come from this number. Sa****ay I decided to answer, thinking if I can actually talk to someone maybe they'd stop calling. I was wrong. I heard back ground noise, but no one spoke. My phone still rings off the hook and I don't know what to do. I've already registered with the Do Not Call registry months ago. Nothing helps.
(800) 927-2291 - April 15th, 2008 4:00am
This number keeps calling my house but never leaves a message. They need to stop calling me or else leave me a message.
(800) 927-2291 - March 24th, 2008 4:00am
Why don't we all call them the same number of times they've calle dus, they'd go bankrupt!! :0)Tehy got me too, vacuum cleaner.
(800) 927-2291 - March 14th, 2008 4:00am
Calls 4to6 times per day morning & night.
(800) 927-2291 - March 12th, 2008 4:00am
Just one more thing. If you like a little of the get em back factor, take the 800-927-2291 number to your closest coin pay phone and call it repeatedly. As the owner of that 800 number, Sears has to pay $.65 for every call made from a pay phone. It is the only way that coin phone companies (the few that are left) make any money on callers making toll free calls from pay phones.
(800) 927-2291 - March 12th, 2008 4:00am
It is Sears protection, offering to sell warranties on different appliances. I have not purchased any appliance from Sears in over 10 years, and if this continues, never will Sears get another penny of my money a***n.
(800) 927-2291 - March 2nd, 2008 5:00am
Yep, this is Sears alright, wanting to sell me an extended warranty.Even when you tell themn "No, thanks", they STILL keep calling.A reputable company wouldn't feel that they have to hide their iden***y -- I'm beginning to wonder about Sears.
(800) 927-2291 - January 27th, 2008 5:00am
These people have called twice today!! Hopefully, they won't call a***n! I don't pick up the phone if it's a 1-800 or 1-888 #.
(800) 927-2291 - January 24th, 2008 5:00am
They have called here 5 times today alone! I ordered so****ing from the Sears parts website 3 days ago...coincidence ? I doubt it. But like everyone else, they never leave a message, just **** up once the ma****e kicks in. And like someone else said, if they'd just leave a shrt message saying they were calling to let you know your warranty was due to expire they might get more replies.I'm also on the "do not call" list.Incidentally, the parts site asked if you wanted to be contacted with future stuff from them via email, snail mail and phone (Which I promptly clicked on not to) and after reading so****ing last week about them using spyware unknowingly on the consumers, I should have known better then to give them any of my information. Shame on you SEARS!
(800) 927-2291 - January 17th, 2008 5:00am
They just keeped calling!I finally called the number back.It was sears wanting to sell us ext warranty on a camera we bought. If they would have left a message on my answering ma****e saying who it was and there business, I would have called them right back. What is with all the secressy?Sorry about the spelling.
(800) 927-2291 - January 9th, 2008 5:00am
Every day... several times a day... all whacky times of the day and night. I won't answer an unidentified number... like most of you above. What I've done in the past when people do this is I answer the phone, and if a live person comes on the line...1. I ask them for their name -- insist on it, turn the tables on them2. Ask them for their home telephone number -- insist on it, a***n turning it around on them.3. I tell them it's only fair that I have their number, since they have my UNLISTED number. I'd like to be able to call THEM all day and bug the daylights out of them. Keep insisting for the caller's personal information. Do this without allowing them to get a word in edgewise. I bet the calls stop. It's worked for me in the past. I'll be doing this next time this call comes thru.

I've received at least 14 calls from this number since Nov 21, making it nearly once a day on average (but sometimes they call at least twice in a day, even if they called the day before). Tonight it was 8:48 pm, and that was the 2nd call today and twice yes****ay as well. I hope I never need to buy from Sears ever a***n because of this. Like other people said, they never seem to leave a message.

I don't answer 800 numbers, either. And, they left no message. Just out of curiosity, I called the number. A male voice came on, I****ume a recording, and said "lots of women want to talk to you", at which point I ***g up not waiting or wanting to hear any more.

As is my typical behavior when I see a toll-free incoming call, I did a quick online search. Lo and behold -- the number popped up, with a bunch of snarky comments attached to it. Meanwhile, the caller did NOT leave voice mail. Hmm...

After many of the same call, I called them. Requested that they not ever call a***n and requested an address to "put it in writing" as this is my 2nd verbal request to stop calling. The rep. was very polite if that can be called a plus.Sears Protection Services2080 Brentwood StHigh Point, NC 27260

6 calls in 24 hrs. "unknown name"....I also don't answer these types of calls and leave my ringer off. So they really don't bother me. It sounds like the "J2 Global Comm" that was calling last week from a different #. The company runs a fax service. Looks like they hire a telemarketing firm to drum up business. Still I can't see how bugging the heck out of people could possible be doing them any good.
